Call for Book Chapters: Advances in Intelligent Process-Aware Information Systems, Springer
Introduction: In a global marketplace, there is an ever-growing need by enterprises and other organizations to cope with increasingly dynamic situations. While business process management systems and process-aware information systems have provided productivity, efficiency, and quality benefits, current process support is often too rigid, while exceptions and adaptations can only be handled in a limited way or require significant human intervention. Business process management systems and process-aware information systems will increasingly be used and applied to sophisticated applications (e.g., healthcare, engineering, intelligent manufacturing) requiring a much more intelligent process support and management compared to existing technologies. Challenges remain for supporting the modeling, execution, diagnosis, and evolution of intelligent processes. These challenges include integrating and supporting process-aware information systems with appropriate intelligent support to better cope with today's highly dynamic environments and emerging concepts of tomorrow's world. To address these challenges, intelligent process support necessitates innovative interdisciplinary approaches.
Objective of the Book: The book will highlight novel advances and developments on various aspects of intelligent business process management systems and process-aware information systems in a well structured and accessible way.
Chapter topics: Chapter proposals are invited that are related to the theory, practice, modeling, techniques, and methods as well as their application across domains. Target Audience: The target audience of this book will be composed of researchers and professionals working in the field of information, process, and knowledge management in various disciplines, e.g., government departments, information and communication sciences, e-Government practitioners and designers, university departments, computer science, and information technology. Moreover, the book will provide insights and support to executives concerned with the management of expertise, knowledge, processes, information, and organizational development in different types of business communities and environments.

Editorial Process: All accepted chapters will undergo a rigorous peer-review process.
Important Dates: March 28, 2014: Book chapter proposal submission deadline April 30, 2014: Notification of chapter proposal acceptance July 30, 2014: Full chapter submission September 15, 2014: Peer-review results returned October 15, 2014: Camera-ready chapter submission
