Dear Gustaf Neumann,
Let me kindly inform you that SIMULTECH 2011, to be held in Noordwijkerhout, The Netherlands (29 - 31 July, 2011) is now welcoming the submission of position papers whose deadline is scheduled to next April 27.
A position paper presents an arguable opinion about an issue. The goal of a position paper is to convince the audience that your opinion is valid and worth listening to, without the need to present completed research work and/or validated results. It is, nevertheless, important to support your argument with evidence to ensure the validity of your claims. A position paper may be a short report and discussion of ideas, facts, situations, methods, procedures or results of scientific research (bibliographic, experimental, theoretical, or other) focused on one of the conference topic areas. The acceptance of a position paper is restricted to the categories of "short paper" or "poster", i.e. a position paper is not a candidate to acceptance as "full paper". CHWG
The SIMULTECH program will include a number of Keynote Lectures to be delivered by distinguished world-class researchers (http://www.simultech.org/keynote_speakers.asp), including those listed below.
Submitted papers will be subject to a double-blind review process. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, under an ISBN reference, on paper and CD-ROM support. Additionally, a selection of the best papers of the conference will be published by Springer-Verlag, the best papers with clear contributions to discrete-event simulation will be invited to submit revised versions to the Journal of Simulation (http://www.palgrave-journals.com/jos/index.html) and a short list of papers presented at the conference will be selected for publication of extended and revised versions in JDMS (http://www.uk.sagepub.com/journals/Journal201959).
All papers presented at the conference venue will be available at the SciTePress Digital Library (http://www.scitepress.org/DigitalLibrary/).
Best paper awards will be distributed during the conference closing session. Please check the website for further information (http://www.simultech.org/best_paper_awards.asp).
Please check further details at the SIMULTECH 2011 conference web site (http://www.simultech.org). There you will find detailed information about the conference structure and its main topic areas. This conference is co-located with ICINCO 2011 (8th International Conference on Informatics in Control, Automation and Robotics - http://www.icinco.org). Registration to SIMULTECH will enable free attendance to any sessions of ICINCO 2011 as a non-speaker.
Workshops and special sessions are also invited. If you wish to propose a workshop or a special session, for example based on the results of a specific research project, please send a proposal to the SIMULTECH secretariat. Workshop chairs and Special Session chairs will benefit from logistics support and other types of support, including secretariat and financial support, to facilitate the development of a valid idea.
Should you have any question or suggestions please don't hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards,
Joao Teixeira
