* Conference background and goals
The IADIS Applied Computing 2012 conference aims to address the
main issues of concern within the applied computing area and
related fields. This conference covers essentially technical
aspects. The applied computing field is divided into more detailed
areas (see below). However innovative contributes that don't fit
into these areas will also be considered since they might be of
benefit to conference attendees.
* Format of the Conference
The conference will comprise invited talks and oral
presentations. The proceedings of the conference will be published
in the form of a book.
The best papers will be selected for publishing as extended
versions in International Journal of Ambient Computing and
Intelligence (IJACI) (ISSN: 1941-6237).
Selected best papers will be invited to extend their papers
into chapters for inclusion in the "Studies in Computational
Intelligence" series from Springer. This series is indexed by
DBLP, Ulrichs, SCOPUS, MathSciNet, Current Mathematical
Publications, Mathematical Reviews, Zentralblatt Math: MetaPress
and Springerlink.
Other best paper authors may also be invited to publish
extended versions of their papers in other specific journals such
as in the IADIS International Journal on Computer Science and
Information Systems.
The conference proceedings will be submitted for indexing to
INSPEC, EI Compendex, Thomson ISI, ISTP and other indexing
services.
