CALL FOR ABSTRACTS MOBILE ROUNDTABLE TOKYO 2002
A group of researchers around the world will organize a series of international conferences on mobile communication and computing titled the Mobile Roundtable.
The objectives of the Mobile Roundtable are to:
- Build and support a sustainable international network of researchers to study the mobile communication and computing business, market, and industry - Exchange research results and views - Facilitate communication, interactions, and collaborations among researchers, practitioners, and policymakers around the world
The first Mobile Roundtable will be held on May 30 and 31, 2002, in Tokyo, Japan, organized by the Mobile Roundtable Committee and the Mobile Innovation Research Program at the Institute of Innovation Research (IIR), Hitotsubashi University, Japan. It is planned to be followed by Roundtables in Stockholm, Sweden (2003) and Austin, Texas, U.S.A (2004).
We are calling for papers to be presented at the Tokyo Roundtable, where we will discuss the past, present,and future of the mobile communication and computing business, market, and industry with international perspectives. Contributed papers may deal with, but are not limited to: (1) Consumer and Business Applications of Mobile Communication and Computing and their Impacts on Business, Industry, and Society; (2) Strategy, Organization, and Technology Management for Mobile Innovations; and (3) Public Policies for Mobile Communication and Computing. Contributions are not limited to completed research, but works in progress are also welcome.
If you would like to join the Tokyo Roundtable, please submit an abstract of your paper in English by February 28, 2002 by e-mail to Asami Onuki, IIR, Hitotsubashi University (onuki@iir.hit-u.ac.jp). This should be just one page which includes full contact details, including a brief bio, institution affiliation, mailing address, phone and fax numbers, and e-mail address. Papers will be selected by mid-March, and the selected authors will be requested to submit complete papers in English by April 15, 2002.
