*Call for Papers*
*ISOneWorld Conference*
*Las Vegas, Nevada*
*March 30 – April 1, 2020*
*isoneworld.net <http://isoneworld.net>*
Are you a researcher that seeks to push the theoretical, methodological,
and paradigmatic boundaries of the discipline? Are you looking for an
opportunity to share your ideas and your research in a forward-thinking
venue that seeks to move beyond traditional demarcations of methodologies
and paradigms, and truly create One World for the IS field? If so, this
conference is for you!
We are issuing this Call for Papers for the submission of traditional full
papers, short papers, and abstracts to the 19th ISOneWorld Conference,
which will be held March 30 to April 1, 2020, in Las Vegas, Nevada. For the
past 19 years, the ISOneWorld Conference has brought together international
Information Systems researchers and practitioners to participate in sharing
ideas and to enjoy the exciting surroundings of the fun capital of the
world – Las Vegas.
As an inclusive, peer-reviewed conference, ISOneWorld offers a unique
opportunity for you to submit your work for publication and feedback in a
developmental, workshop-based setting with colleagues. The conference
includes a full program of papers, presentations, keynotes and publishing
opportunities for researchers and practitioners. Beyond the publication
opportunities through the conference, selected papers will be fast tracked
for submission and the Journal of Information Science and Technology
<http://www.jist.info/>. Excellent papers will be encouraged to submit
to The
Data Base for Advances in Information Systems

*Themes*
As an inclusive conference, ISOneWorld encourages thought-provoking work
and is open to both theoretical and applied work, regardless of the
methodological approach. *We are specifically calling for submissions that
to depart from the traditional conference paper topics and are exploratory
and that may question many of the paradigms underlying the IS field.* The
vision of ISOneWorld is to create a conference that finds the unifying
thread underpinning our work rather than creating paradigmatic and
methodological division. We envision this conference as a venue for you to
explore ideas thoughtfully and deliberately and to present work that is
intellectually challenging and insightful.
A unique aspect of the conference is the opportunity for short research
papers. If you have an idea for a project that is not fully developed, we
will provide a venue for you to submit an abstract of an idea and discuss
this project. This *birds-of-a-feather* venue will allow you to network
with colleagues and collaborate upon your idea with potential new research
partners. If your idea is fully materialized, send your completed work for
consideration and receive the feedback to assist you in crafting your
manuscript for publication. Quality contributions for papers, panels, cases
and posters are invited, which are double blind peer reviewed.
Topic areas covered in the conference include, but are not limited to the
following:

statt. https://wi2020.de/de/node/430 Titel: Die Token Economy: Spannende
Potentiale für die Wirtschaft oder übertriebener Hype? Inhalte, Ziele
und Agenda: Die Blockchain (bzw. Distributed Ledger Technologie) wurde
als zugrunde liegende Technologie von Kryptowährungen populär. Innerhalb
Security Token Offerings (STOs) unregulierte ICOs weitgehend abgelöst
und bieten mehr regulatorische Sicherheit. Es steht zu erwarten, dass
zahlreiche innovative Anwendungsmöglichkeiten für Token in den kommenden
Jahren an Popularität gewinnen werden. In diesem Workshop diskutieren
ausgewählten Fragestellungen („World Café“). Ziel dieses Workshops ist
es, interessierte ForscherInnen zusammenzubringen und einen freien
Ideenfluss zu ermöglichen, um anstehende Forschungsprobleme
identifizieren. Zusätzlich wollen wir eine umfassende und strukturierte
Forschungsagenda erarbeiten. Zielgruppe: ForscherInnen, die den
Austausch mit KollegInnen suchen. Der Workshop ist auch für die
Öffentlichkeit zugänglich. Organisatoren des Workshops • Horst
Treiblmaier, Modul University Vienna • Gilbert Fridgen, University of
Luxembourg • Johann Kranz, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München •

The workshop papers will be published by Springer in "Communications in
Computer and Information Science." Best papers of the workshop, after
further revisions and independent reviews, will be considered for
publication in a special issue of Wiley Journal of Software: Evolution
and Process (IF 1.305).
*** SCOPE ***
The design of modern Cyber-Physical Systems (CPSs) comprises systems of
systems that include several heterogeneous components. Manufacturers of
such systems have to address several networking, dynamic and uncertain
environmental constraints. CPSs are often safety-critical, i.e., any
malfunctioning of the system may seriously harm its user. However, the
involved communicating peripherals also necessitate the consideration of
security issues, so that the proper functioning of a CPS is not affected
by cyber-security threats.
The engineering of a CPS requires high safety integrity levels and
strong assurances for their fitness for public use against safety
hazards and cyber-security threats. Considering safety and security
requirements in the design of CPS increases their reliability,
confidentiality, integrity and availability. This also ensures the
continuous provision and protection of essential services and assets.
However, contemporary systems and software engineering methods and
approaches are often not adequate for the high-confidence design and
manufacturing of CPSs. This is especially true within the era of
artificial intelligence.
The overall aim of this workshop is to address a broad range of issues
related to cyber-security, functional safety and their interplay within
the context of CPSs – including but not limited to:
- Functional safety, cyber-security and their interplay
- Model-driven engineering
- Privacy and confidentiality
- Specification, verification & validation
- System architecture, design, decisions and tradeoffs, e.g.,
correct-by-design or privacy-by-design
- Security, safety and CPS in the era of artificial intelligence,
machine learning and deep learning
- Regulation, homologation, legalization and certification

*** SCOPE ***
New computing paradigms, such as cloud computing, big data and the
Internet of Things open new horizons to businesses by making possible
the provision of high quality services all over the world. All these
developments ultimately aim at improving our quality of life, at making
it easier to generate wealth, and at ensuring that businesses remain
competitive in the global marketplace. These developments have been made
possible in a remarkably short time
span, by virtue of the fact that information and communication
technologies move fast; sometimes they move too fast for society and for
governments. This explains why such rapid technological evolutions
cannot be problem-free. In the domain of digital businesses, concerns
are raised regarding the lack of trust in electronic procedures and the
extent to which information security and user privacy can be ensured. In
answer to these concerns, the 17th International Conference on Trust,
Privacy and Security in Digital Business (TrustBus’20) will provide an
international forum for researchers and practitioners to exchange
information regarding advancements in the state of the art and practice
of trust and privacy in digital business. TrustBus’20 will bring
together researchers from different disciplines,
developers, and users all interested in the critical success factors of
digital business systems. We are interested in papers, work-in-progress
reports, and industrial experiences describing advances in all areas of
digital business applications related to trust and privacy, including,
but not limited to:
- Anonymity and pseudonymity - Common practices, legal and regulatory
issues in digital business - Delivery technologies and scheduling

ideas, experience, or tools.
* Completed research papers should not only discuss research findings,
but also the initial research objectives, the research methodology used,
as well as its appropriateness and its execution.
* Research-in-progress papers report on research that is well under way
with preliminary results available at the time of the conference. These
papers should clearly identify the research objectives of the ongoing
research effort, the research methodology used, and the progress made
so-far.
* Idea papers may present completely new research approaches or
adaptation of existing approaches to new types of emerging challenges.
The papers should precisely describe the shortcomings of current
methods, the innovative aspects of the suggested approach, and its
potential to make change.
* Experience reports are expected to report on work done in a context of
a real-life organization. They should describe the practical goals of
the work, the organizational/business context, the methods or theories
used, and the lessons learnt.
* Tool demonstration papers should be related to the conference topics.
They should include the research background and application context, the
key technologies used, the novelty of the tool, and its limitations.
Please use the following format for your submissions:
* Long papers (Completed Research and Research-in-Progress) should not
exceed 15 pages (including references and appendices).
* Short papers (idea papers, experience reports, and tool demonstration)
should not exceed 8 pages (including references and appendices). The
presentation of these papers may take an interactive form (e.g., a
poster or a demo session).
