For the past 26 years, professors, students, and researchers from all
over the world have come together at our conferences to present research
and engage in interdisciplinary discussion. It is this interdisciplinary
focus that allows our attendees to discover new viewpoints they
otherwise would not have discovered in a uni-disciplinary conference.
These new viewpoints become intellectual seeds which, as they slowly
bloom over time, expand their understanding of their own respective
disciplines.
Many of our participants look forward to our conferences every year as
they allow them to publish their papers, share their life's work, create
a network of influential and like-minded colleagues, and expand their
ever-growing understanding of their respective disciplines, as well as
learn about new disciplines. Some testimonials can be read clicking on
the button "TESTIMONIALS" placed at the top of the left column of each
of the conference web sites.
We hope to continue creating and expanding inter-disciplinary networks
while facilitating the ever-growing expansion of each individual
discipline represented at our conferences. We know this is only possible
with contributions from people such as yourself. It is for this reason
that we would greatly appreciate your contribution to the conference.
You are also welcome to forward this message to any appropriate
colleagues and/or groups whose contributions would further promote the
interdisciplinary growth of all the various disciplines represented in
our conferences.
Thank you for your time, and we look forward to your contribution.
Respectfully,
ICETI 2023 Organizing Committee

Subject: [AISWorld] Reminder: CAIS Special Section on Digital
Innovation for Social Development and Environmental Action
Date: Mon, 26 Sep 2022 17:56:24 +0000
From: Jacqueline Corbett <Jacqueline.Corbett(a)fsa.ulaval.ca>
To: aisworld(a)lists.aisnet.org <aisworld(a)lists.aisnet.org>
The Information Systems (IS) community has the opportunity to advance
inclusive and sustainable social development and to transform human
behaviors and business practices that have become environmentally
unsustainable. However, affecting such positive change is a 'wicked
problem' with many interacting components, many uncertainties and
equivocalities, and many views on methods, even where there is agreement
on the end goal. These are grand global challenges that are complex,
multi-layered, transdisciplinary, and socio-technical in the sense of
fundamentally involving humans and how we do things.
Recognizing that the IS community must move from discussion to action,
the goal of this special issue is the construction and dissemination of
applicable knowledge within the IS community in relation to the SDGs
related to social development and the natural environment. We encourage
solution-oriented submissions that can make immediate contributions to
the sustainable practices adopted by organizations, societies, and
individuals: preference will be given to papers that include measurable
sustainability outcomes that link to one or more of the SDGs. The
special issue is also open to 'dependent variables' and more general
outcomes that pertain to the issues at hand such as reduction of
pollution in the air or water, access to nutritious food or stable
housing as well as the traditional IS measures of use, user
satisfaction, and success. We are primarily interested in how the
research has or can affect these global problems, but we also want to
see the role and influence of information systems and digital technology
as a component of the study to provide connection to and grounding with
our AIS community.
Due date for paper submissions: 31 October 2022

Subject: [AISWorld] AMCIS 2023 Call For Minitrack Proposals:
"Information Security and Privacy" track
Date: Mon, 26 Sep 2022 16:13:53 +0000
From: Ogbanufe, Obi <obi.ogbanufe(a)unt.edu>
To: aisworld(a)lists.aisnet.org <aisworld(a)lists.aisnet.org>
Dear Colleagues,
We invite you to submit your mini-track proposals for the "Information
Security and Privacy" track at AMCIS 2023. AMCIS 2023 will be held on
August 10-12, 2023 in Panama City, Panama.
Cybersecurity remains a key challenge for organizations despite massive
investments over the last two decades. While technological advancements
have been made to improve cybersecurity, human vulnerabilities have
become the weakest link in security. High-profile events such as
defections, espionage, and massive data breaches have led the public to
question their own expectations of privacy. While there is an abundance
of practices and techniques for employing cybersecurity, many hard
problems remain unanswered.
The purpose of this track is to provide a forum for theoretical
developments, empirical research findings, case studies, methodologies,
artifacts, and other high-quality manuscripts. Sponsored by SIGSEC, we
seek to address important questions arising from emerging developments
in information security, such as: security analytics, financial crimes,
security analytics, and digital forensics? How do system defenders share
information to mitigate vulnerabilities and exploits? Does pervasive
data collection deter privacy-conscious individuals? Do regulations and
policies influence employee security behaviors and organizational
security postures?
Minitrack chairs will be responsible for
* Promoting their minitrack to generate manuscript submissions to AMCIS
2023;
* Soliciting and assigning reviewers for manuscripts submitted to the
minitrack; and
* Making recommendations to track chairs about each manuscript submitted
to the minitrack.
Important Dates:
September 21, 2022: PCS opens for Minitrack submissions for AMCIS 2023
October 17, 2022: Minitrack submissions are due
October 31, 2022: Minitrack decisions should be completed
January 6, 2023: Manuscript submissions for AMCIS 2023 begin
To submit a minitrack proposal, you will need to include a) minitrack
chairs (names, emails, affiliation); b) minitrack title; c) short
description of minitrack for the AMCIS 2023 website (up to 150 words);
d) call for papers for your minitrack.
