Die Tagung behandelt die Fragestellung, welche Auswirkungen die nach wie vor weiter zunehmende Digitalisierung und Vernetzung von Produkten aller Art für das Software Management zur Folge hat. Dabei wird das Software Management als wissenschaftliche Disziplin wie auch als betriebliche Funktion in der Praxis verstanden. Beiträge sind (u.a.) zu folgenden Themen erwünscht: - � Herausforderungen und Lösungsansätze des Software Managements für Unternehmen unterschiedlicher Branchen, die zum Anbieter von software-gestützten Produkten und Dienstleistungen werden; - � Herausforderungen und Lösungsansätze des Software Managements für Anbieter hybrider, software-intensiver Dienstleistungen und Produkte; - � Software Management in Zeiten fließender Grenzen zwischen Embedded Software, Anwendersoftware und Plattformen; - � Management bzw. However, the design and engineering of such technologies often ignores the organizational context that respective technologies are to be applied in. A large and hierarchical organization, for example, calls for significantly different security and privacy practices and respective technologies than an agile, small startup. Similarly, whenever employees’ behavior plays a significant role for the ultimate level of security and privacy provided, their individual interests and incentives as well as typical behavioral patterns must be taken into account and materialized in concrete technical solutions and practices. Even though research on security- and privacy-related technologies increasingly considers questions of practical applicability in realistic scenarios, implementation decisions are still mostly technology-driven, and existing technical limitations and notions of “this is how we’ve always done it” hamper innovation. On the other hand, a substantial body of organization-related security and privacy research already exists, incorporating aspects like decision-making and governance structures, individual interests and incentives of employees, organizational roles and procedures, organizational as well as national culture, or business models and organizational goals. However, there is still a large gap between the generation of respective insights and their actual incorporation in concrete technical mechanisms, frameworks, and systems. This disconnection between rather technical and rather organization-related security and privacy research leaves substantial room for improving the fit between organizational practices on the one and the engineering of concrete technologies on the other hand. Achieving a better fit between these two sides through security and privacy technologies that soundly incorporate organizational and behavioral theories and practices promises substantial benefits for organizations and data subjects, engineers, policy makers, and society as a whole. The aim of this workshop is therefore to discuss, exchange, and develop ideas and questions regarding the design and engineering of technical security and privacy mechanisms with particular reference to organizational contexts. We invite papers from researchers and practitioners working in security- and privacy-related systems engineering as well as in the field of organizational science to submit their original papers to this workshop. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: * Security and privacy technologies consciously addressing different organizational structures * Security and privacy technologies and individual behavior * Security and privacy technologies for and in organizational / national cultures * Security and privacy technologies for and in unusual organizational settings * Engineering-focused methods, frameworks, and assessment approaches for addressing the above subjects in novel ways We particularly welcome papers explicitly translating findings and insights from organizational and behavioral theory into the concrete design and engineering of technical security and privacy mechanisms as well as papers evaluating, assessing, or scrutinizing existing security and privacy technologies against actual organizational and behavioral theories and/or givens from the practice. Papers providing a clear engineering contribution based on non-technical insights are particularly welcome. Papers without relation to concrete technologies are not excluded in general. Authors of such papers are, however, explicitly encouraged to sketch foreseen connections to and implications for the engineering domain. Submission Guidelines & Types of Papers Accepted papers are planned be published in a joint LNCS proceedings together with further ESORICS workshops. Submissions must not substantially duplicate work that any of the authors has published elsewhere or has submitted in parallel to any other venue with formally published proceedings. Besides regular (max. 18 pages) and short (max. 8 pages) papers, we also invite practical demonstrations, intermediate reports, and mini-tutorials on respective technologies currently under development. Such contributions should be consciously tailored to inspire more in-depth discussions. Submissions falling under this category should describe the proposed contribution to the workshop in no more than 6 pages and be explicitly marked as such during the submission process. In this context, emerging technologies (like Internet of Things –IoT-, Big Data, chatbots or blockchain,..) are opening new ways for citizens to become more directly involved in public governance, offering new possibilities to improve government transparency, citizen collaboration and citizen participation. These technologies are not only implements as isolated islands or projects but also included as necessary technological tools into wider smart initiatives, making them more effective and efficient. This way, while blockchain have been applied in eDemocracy platforms as a new pattern of management amongst the agents that participate in the public sphere, chatbots have been proposed in Open Data projects for providing support to better access of citizens to data collections. The current rapid development and adaption of these emerging technologies to existing practices makes this topic interesting to be analyzed. Nonetheless, although interesting, the lack of empirical evidence on the novel implementation of these emerging technologies and its impact on improving smart governance models in smart cities, communities, rural areas and regions motivated us to conduct this special issue. Topics of interest in this Special Issue include, but are not limited to the following: • Use of blockchain, IoT, Big data or chatbots to improve government transparency. • Integration of emerging technologies for more collaborative and participative governments. • Open Government projects based on the use of emerging technologies. • Comparative studies in using emerging technologies for improving smart governance in city management. • Case studies of emerging technologies integration in smart initiatives. • Determinants in the use and implementation of emerging technologies in smart urban areas. In brief, we invite papers that analyze the link between emerging technologies and the improvement of new smart governance models implemented in cities, communities, rural areas or regions. These papers can be focused on the impact of different emerging technologies in the achievement of more open, accountable and collaborative governments. Also, scholars are invited to submit papers analyzing the institutional and/or contextual conditions of the implementation of these emerging technologies to improve government transparency, citizen collaboration and citizen participation. In any case, this special issue will mainly put its attention on empirical papers, including case studies, comparative case studies (that involve different countries or disciplines), and surveys. Finally, empirical studies about emerging technologies and its impact on citizens’ quality of life will be welcome. Fairness can be introduced in algorithmic decision making prior to algorithm learning or application (pre-processing), during the decision making model learning (in-processing), or prior to model application (post-processing). Besides this, one must observe short-term and long-term effects of algorithm interventions and design fair decision making mechanisms. We invite papers, which highlight any of the concerns and the topics below, with the aim to discuss problems and provide possible answers at the conference. JOURNAL-FIRST PAPER SUBMISSION: We invite journal-first presentations for papers published recently in prestigious journals and in the scope of the different track of the conference. This will both enrich the ISD program as well as offer the authors an opportunity to speak to the community. The journal papers should be accepted for publication not earlier than January 1st 2020 (with DOI). The journal-first papers will not be reviewed again for technical content. The program chairs and track chairs will check the appropriateness of the proposal focusing on the scope, quality of the journal (e.g., impact factor, indexation) and date of acceptance for publication. Journal-first papers are published through the journals and will not be part of the ISD Proceedings. The journal first-papers will be included in the conference program and the ISD proceedings will only contain the abstract and a link to the journal publication. POSTER SUBMISSION: Posters provide an opportunity for researchers and practitioners to present and discuss their most recent research achievements, practical experience, tools and challenges related to Information Systems development. We encourage submissions on early-stage and ongoing work, as well as on innovative applications of existing tools and ideas in practice. We also encourage submissions of EU project results or ideas for proposals, early work (e.g., starting PhD work), work on information systems development education. Such submissions will consist of an extended abstract of the presented contribution. The length for poster submissions is 2 to 4 pages plus one page for references. Then, if the poster is accepted, the authors must prepare the actual poster to be posted and presented at the conference. The main evaluation criteria for poster submissions are the quality of the proposed poster in terms of novelty, relevance for the ISD audience, technical soundness and its ability to stimulate discussions. HICSS 2022 Call for Papers Mini-track: Enterprise Ecosystem: Extending and Integrating Technology Serving the Enterprise The focus of this mini-track begins with the organizational Enterprise System as a foundation for an integrated Enterprise Ecosystem which is often directly connected to suppliers and customers. These Enterprise Systems must integrate emerging technologies to achieve competitive advantage in day to day operations. Building on the data collected in ERP, data analysis can be used to leverage Big Data and enhance evidence-based decision making. As the technology landscape continues to change quickly, many new innovations impact Enterprise Systems and continued research is needed. The integrated Enterprise Ecosystem is impacted and must adapt to: cloud computing, sustainability, financial technologies, non-financial metrics, inter-organizational integration and more. Integrated enterprise systems are further enabled by extensions related to the Internet of Things (IoT), new Big Data information sources such as Geolocation/GIS data, telemetry, hi resolution media content and storing metadata. Data analytics tools are offered by Enterprise vendors, in the cloud and in the data center - how does the Enterprise ecosystem need to evolve to support and enhance the ability to perform analytics? Heavily integrating the supply chain demands other extensions to processes, business transactions, and data privacy/security to provide functionality to integrate with partner companies and effectively serve customers. Linking various emerging technologies and diverse systems together is the objective of this track on the expanded Enterprise Ecosystem. This mini-track seeks to explore issues, both academic and organizational, surrounding the evolution of the integrated enterprise system - All manner of themes related to internal and external integration of Enterprise Systems. This spans topics from management, organizational, social, project and process management, supply chain, and absorbing a wide range of emerging technologies into the core ERP systems. Investigation is needed to support the rapid change of enterprise business operations, automation, and integration with business partners. Topics include: a broad set of research topics and questions address the expanded and integrated enterprise eco-system. Some topics are listed here, but a wider range of other topics will be considered with respect to the integrated Enterprise Ecosystem. * New approaches to data, collection, storage and organization: No-SQL databases, cube and clusters, columnar databases, etc. * Emerging innovations that impact integrated enterprise systems include: telemetry devices, IoT, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Business Process Mining, User Behavior Mining... * Visual interfaces, do it yourself (DIY) interfaces, integrated online analytics, ML and AI * Cloud Computing-based Enterprise systems, adoption, costs, issues and benefits: Internet of Things (IoT), Tracking, Telemetry, etc. linked to Enterprise Systems Inter-organizational enterprise systems (IOS) linking business processes, SCM, VMI, B2B, B2C, etc. * Analytics in support of decision-making, ML and AI * Blockchain financial (FinTech), smart contract and trust services integrated with ERP * Distributed autonomous organizations (DAO) * Business management, project management, adoption and assimilation of ERP * Transformation of enterprise ecosystem, switching vendors or moving to Cloud-based ERP. * Innovations, extensions and maturing of ERP features * Business Process Modeling (BPM) and process management innovation in the Enterprise ecosystem * Extending ERP systems beyond the internal business processes?
