Computer and Information Science." Best papers of the workshop, after
further revisions and independent reviews, will be considered for
publication in a special issue of Wiley Journal of Software: Evolution
and Process (IF 1.305).
*** SCOPE ***
The design of modern Cyber-Physical Systems (CPSs) comprises systems of
systems that include several heterogeneous components. Manufacturers of
such systems have to address several networking, dynamic and uncertain
environmental constraints. CPSs are often safety-critical, i.e., any
malfunctioning of the system may seriously harm its user. However, the
involved communicating peripherals also necessitate the consideration of
security issues, so that the proper functioning of a CPS is not affected
by cyber-security threats.
The engineering of a CPS requires high safety integrity levels and
strong assurances for their fitness for public use against safety
hazards and cyber-security threats. Considering safety and security
requirements in the design of CPS increases their reliability,
confidentiality, integrity and availability. This also ensures the
continuous provision and protection of essential services and assets.
However, contemporary systems and software engineering methods and
approaches are often not adequate for the high-confidence design and
manufacturing of CPSs. This is especially true within the era of
artificial intelligence.
The overall aim of this workshop is to address a broad range of issues
related to cyber-security, functional safety and their interplay within
the context of CPSs – including but not limited to:
- Functional safety, cyber-security and their interplay
- Model-driven engineering
- Privacy and confidentiality
- Specification, verification & validation
- System architecture, design, decisions and tradeoffs, e.g.,
correct-by-design or privacy-by-design
- Security, safety and CPS in the era of artificial intelligence,
machine learning and deep learning
- Regulation, homologation, legalization and certification
- Case studies, experience reports, benchmarking and best practices
- Healthcare, transportation, aerospace, energy, robotics, finance,
business, etc.
*** SUBMISSION GUIDELINES ***

Introduction
Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) has emerged as a unifying name for systems
where the cyber parts, i.e., the computing and communication parts, and the
physical parts are tightly integrated, both at the design time and during
operation. Such systems use computations and communication deeply embedded
in and interacting with human physical processes as well as augmenting
existing and adding new capabilities. As such, Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS)
is the integration of computation, networking, and physical processes.
Embedded computers and networks monitor and control the physical processes,
with feedback loops where physical processes affect computations and vice
versa. The economic and societal potential of such systems is vastly
greater than what has been realized, and major investments are being made
worldwide to develop the technology.

The 2020 Dewald Roode Workshop on Information Systems Security Research
IFIP WG8.11/WG11.13 Friday October 2 – Saturday October 3, 2020
Ames, Iowa
CALL FOR PAPERS
The 12th Dewald Roode Workshop on Information Systems Security Research
will continue the efforts to advance the discipline of information
systems security through the creation, dissemination, and preservation
of well-formed research, following the success of the first eleven
Information Systems Security Research Workshops (University of Cape
Town, 2009; Bentley University, 2010; Virginia Tech, 2011; Brigham Young
University, 2012; University at Buffalo, 2013; Newcastle University,
2014; University of Delaware, 2015; University of New Mexico, 2016;
University of South Florida, 2017; University of Cape Town, 2018;
Louisiana Tech University, 2019).
The active discussions in the workshop are intended to provide
participants specific and actionable feedback on their research. We
anticipate that this process will facilitate the successful development
of workshop papers for further consideration at important journals (See
https://ifip.byu.edu/ for past DRW papers which have been published in
journals). High quality papers will be fast tracked to the AIS
Transactions on Human-Computer Interaction. Selection for the workshop
is competitive, and only authors of the accepted papers and the active
working group members will be invited to participate.
Anchoring the workshop to information systems means that the research
will attend to and extend the social, organizational, and managerial
literature in the focal area. Note that this is not an appropriate venue
for papers with a purely technical, design-science, or econometric
approach. While we assume an effective foundation in information
security technology, we regard information systems risk broadly, for
example, computer crime, employee misconduct, cyber warfare, cyber
terrorism, human error and/or accident, natural events, etc. We also
address information systems security broadly, for example, policies and
policy compliance, diverse security behaviors, privacy, awareness,
strategy, audit, planning and control. These and related research topics
will be the focus of this workshop.
TOPICS OF INTEREST
The 2020 Dewald Roode Workshop on Information Systems Security Research
Topics may include (but are not limited to):
• Theoretical and empirical analyses of information security behavior
• Adoption, use, and continuance of information security technologies
and policies
• Compliance with information security and privacy policies, procedures,
and regulations
• Investigations of computer crime and security violations
• Motivators and inhibitors of employee computer crime
• Forensic analysis of security breaches and computer crimes
• Individual, organizational, and group information privacy concerns and
behaviors
• Legal, societal, and ethical issues in information security
• Neurosecurity (NeuroIS) investigations of information security behavior
• Behavioral analyses of design science treatments enhancing or
balancing security and privacy tradeoffs

6th International Workshop on Information Value Management
(In conjunction with the 22nd International Conference on Enterprise
Information Systems - ICEIS 2020)
5 - 7 May, 2020 - Prague, Czech Republic
http://www.iceis.org/IVM.aspx
===================================================================
INTRODUCTION ============= Recent advances in technology such as
Internet of Things, Analytics and Big
Data lead not only a technology revolution but also offer a magnitude of
business benefits. With the arrival of Industry 4.0, the Big Data created
within the Internet of Things is so enormous that it cannot be fully
processed
in conventional databases. Thus new challenges in an area of
Digitalisation and
Big Data have created opportunities to explore the information value
using data
analytics. In order to drive the next horizon of operational
effectiveness, Big
Data solutions are used to optimize business processes and reduce
decision-making time etc.. Given the complex nature of the information,
Big Data and IoT are demanded to address the interaction and flexibility
issues among the new intelligent objects. By providing increasing access
to Data and advanced capabilities to analyse large amounts of data we
need to re-examine the value contribution of insights and impacts these
technologies offer to business.
With this workshop we aim to provide an international forum that explores
various business benefits of data and information. Information creates
not only
value in financial terms but also in terms of operational and strategic
advantages. Thus exploring the value of information and its management is
crucial to the success of world-leading organizations. The value of
information
can be determined by its importance to and the impact information has on the
business operations such as decision making, strategy development or
optimizing
supply chains. However, the issue of how to manage the value of
information is
still challenging and research so far could only address limited aspects. It
has been argued that if information result in enhanced business value, the
focus needs to shift from project based cost/benefit analysis to
managing the
overall value creation of information. Furthermore, over the last decade
a move
from solely technical aspects to a combination of multiple contextual
factors
such as technology, sector, organizational culture, and management style
can be
observed. The information systems literature has consistently emphasized the
need for alignment of information systems with organizational goals and
strategies and its impact on organizational performance. One of the key
challenges and subject of continuous debate focuses on how to achieve,
measure,
increase and manage information and the value it creates to
organisations. It
has been concern to researchers and management for many years and the
difficulty in measuring less tangible benefits has been emphasized. With
this
workshop we aim to go beyond traditional IT productivity and cost
evaluations;
we view information as a crucial asset that creates value to an
organizations,
and thus needs to be managed accordingly for optimal business value.
In this workshop, we aim to provide a platform for discussing approaches,
models, results and case studies or experience reports addressing a
broad range
of issues related to Information Value Management. Research challenges
include
how to determine the Value of Information and its impact on business
performance, managing Data and Information Quality, capturing and
maintaining
Information Assets, and designing and improving Information Manufacture
System.
Papers can include and discuss various research methods and can be based on
case studies, quantitative and quantitative methods, design science as
well as
experimental and simulation. In addition practical oriented research and
experience reports are encouraged.

Subject: [WI] CfP The 13th Workshop on Social and Human Aspects of
Business Process Management (BPMS2’20)

The 13th Workshop on Social and Human Aspects of Business Process Management
(BPMS2’20)
Call for Papers
As part of BPM 2020
18th International Conference on Business Process Management
September 14, 2020, Seville, Spain
Deadline for workshop paper submissions: May 29, 2020
Workshop Theme
The involvement of human aspects into Business Process Management takes
place
both on a social and individual level. Social information systems such as
social media, Enterprise 2.0, and social platforms are spreading quickly in
society, organizations, and economics. Enterprises use social information
systems to improve their business processes and create new business models.
The integration of business process management and social information
systems
becomes more and more widespread. New approaches for using social
information
systems in combination with business process management appear frequently.
Social information systems are used both in external and internal business
processes. Companies can co-create products and services, e.g., companies
integrate customers into product development to capture ideas and features.
Thus, communication with the customer is increasingly bi-directional. The
integration of business process management and social information systems
enables the creation of new business models using social platforms. Social
platforms enable the creation of cross-side network effects and therefore
called two- or multi-sided markets . Prominent examples are Tripdadvisor,
UBER, and AirBnB. By using the value-creating mechanisms of social
information
systems, business models became possible, which were not realizable before.
E.g. the AirBnB uses a crowdsourcing model for quality control by using
users’
reviews of apartments. In this way, a quality assessment of products and
services became possible that was too costly so far.
Social information systems also create new possibilities to enhance internal
business processes by improving the exchange of knowledge and
information, to
speed up decisions, etc. Social information systems enable value-creating
interactions such as weak ties, social production, egalitarianism. These
value-creating interactions open up new possibilities and potentials for the
design of processes. Weak ties enable the flexible integration of process
participants, social production paves the way for the bottom-up
definition of
business processes, and egalitarian decisions change how decisions are
made in
business processes. The use of value-creating interactions is tightly
intertwined with new forms of involvement of human beings into business
process management.
Human aspects complement the social perspective on business process
management. The fact that more and more enterprises are using business
process
management implies that the human individual is involved in a multitude of
business processes. Individuals must cope with multiple process contexts and
thus must administer data appropriately. Digital assistants such as Alex
integrate individuals in processes that could not interact with conventional
computers. In this way, new forms of interaction between processes and
humans
arise. Furthermore, individuals must integrate the external business
processes
into their work environment or even to couple several external business
processes. Human aspects of business process management relate to the
individual who creates a process model, to the communication among people,
during and after the process execution, and to the social process of
collaborative modeling. They also relate to the interaction /
collaboration /
coordination / cooperation that should be implemented in the business
process
or to specific human-related aspects of the business process itself and
their
representations in models.
Before this background, the goal of the workshop is to explore how social
information systems integrate with business process management, and how
business process management may profit from this integration.
Furthermore, the
workshop investigates the human aspects introduced into Business Process
Management by involving human users. Examples are the use of crowdsourced
knowledge and tasks, the need for new user interfaces, e.g. augmented
reality
and voice bots.
The workshop will discuss three topics. Social Business Process Management,
Social Business and Platforms, and Human Aspects of Business Process
Management. Social Business Process Management is the use of Social
information systems to support one or multiple phases of the business
process
life cycle.
1. Social Business Process Management (SBPM)
- Social information systems in the BPM lifecycle e.g. Design, Deployment,
Operation, and Evaluation
- BPM methods and paradigms to cope with Social information systems
- Influence of weak ties, social production, egalitarianism and mutual
service
provisioning on BPM
- Trust and reputation in business processes management carried through
Social
information systems
- Influence of weak ties, social production, egalitarianism and mutual
service
provisioning in the design and management of business processes?
- Integration of Social information systems with WFMS or other business
process support systems?
- Conceptual modelling for knowledge intensive and social business
processes?
2. Social Business and Social Platforms: Social information systems
supporting
business processes
- New opportunities offered by Social information systems for the support of
business processes
- Social platforms and their support for business processes and new business
models
- Value (co-)creation in social business and social platforms
- Sociality requirements of business processes according to their nature
(predictable/non predictable; production/collaborative/ad hoc)
- Use of Wikis, Blogs etc. to support business processes
- Fitting between types of Social information systems and phases of the BPM
lifecycle
- New trends in business knowledge modelling leveraged by social production
3. Human Aspects of Business Process Management
- Concepts, technologies, and services to support individuals acting in
business processes
- Digital Assistants such as Google, Siri etc. in business process
management
and business processes
- Human aspects of business process management
- Human-centric business processes
- Human resource management in business processes (workloads, skills,
preferences, affinities, context, mobility, etc …)
Goal
Based on the twelve previous successful BPMS2 workshops since 2008, the goal
of the BPMS2’20 workshop is to promote the integration of business process
management with social information systems and social software and to
the community pursuing the theme.
Workshop paper format
Position papers of up to 2500 words are sought. Position papers that raise
relevant questions, or describe successful or unsuccessful practice, or
describe experience will all be welcome. Position papers will be assigned a
20-minute presentation. Short papers of up to 1000 words can also be
submitted
and will be assigned a 10-minute presentation.
Submission
Prospective authors are invited to submit papers for presentation in any of
the areas listed above. Only papers in English will be accepted. The
length of
full papers must not exceed 12 pages (There is no possibility to buy
additional pages). Position papers and tool reports should be no longer
than 6
pages. Papers should be submitted in the new LNBIP format
(http://www.springer.com/computer/lncs?SGWID=0-164-7-487211-0). Papers
have to
present original research contributions not concurrently submitted
elsewhere.
The title page must contain a short abstract, a classification of the topics
covered, preferably using the list of topics above, and an indication of the
submission category (regular paper/position paper/tool report).
Please use Easychair for submitting your paper:
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=bpms22020
The paper selection will be based on the relevance of a paper to the main
topics, as well as upon its quality and potential to generate relevant
discussion. All the workshop papers will be published by Springer as a post-
proceeding volume (to be sent around 4 months after the workshop) in their
Lecture Notes in Business Information Processing (LNBIP) series.
Activities
All papers will be published on workshop wiki (www.bpms2.org) before the
workshop, so that everybody can learn about the problems that are important
for other participants. A blog will be used to encourage and support
discussions. The workshop will consist of long and short paper
presentations,
brainstorming sessions and discussions. The workshop report will be created
collaboratively using a wiki. A special issue over all workshops will be
published in a journal (decision in progress).
