*AIS Special Interest Group on Adoption and Diffusion of Information Technology (www.sigadit.net<http://www.sigadit.net>) *
(2014 AIS Outstanding SIG Award Winner)
This year SIGADIT is one of 21 groups that met the criteria for acknowledgment of being named an outstanding SIG or chapter. This honorable recognition serves as motivation for groups to maintain excellent programs, operations, and services that support a successful Special Interest Group or chapter.
*25th Annual DIGIT ICIS Workshop
(Deadline: Monday, September 7th, 2015)
*Theme: Exploring the Information Frontier in Adoption and Diffusion*
Over the past 25 years, adoption and diffusion has become one of the most dominant paradigms in information systems research. Examining the top cited information of all-time we can see that adoption has a strong center of gravity within IS research. In fact, three of the top four most citied papers are seminal adoption papers (Topi 2013). This includes Davis (1989), Davis, Bagozzi, Warshaw (1989) and Venkatesh at al., (2003), which collectively have garnered more than 25,000 citations according to Google Scholar. These influential theoretical models have been extensively applied, modified and discussed regarding antecedents, contingency variables and constructs refinements. In this workshop, we would like to invite papers to reflect on and move forward from the dominant stream of research work on technology acceptance. Moreover, we are interested in papers that explore new developments in information systems frontiers. In particular, we are interested in research that may expand the current boundaries beyond individual and organizational level adoption. This can include group adoption, cultural adoption and even global adoption issues, to name a few. Adoption within certain contexts (e.g., healthcare, social media, and so on) will also be of interest. To this end, Hong and colleagues (2013) have recently called for an exploration of contextual theory, in particular with adoption theories.
Clearly there are several opportunities to expand adoption research into new domains and contexts. Papers in this theme will develop new lenses of analysis that might be required to strengthen our understanding of how individuals or organizations adopt and use information systems. While papers adhering to the theme are encouraged, research in other IT adoption and diffusion research domains will also be considered. Other potential topics areas include (but are not exclusive to):
• Technology adoption and diffusion at the interorganizational, national and global level
• Extension of technology acceptance model for new innovation technologies
• Acceptance vs. resistance to new technologies
• Dark side of technology adoption
• Methodological issues regarding technology adoption and diffusion
• And other adoption and diffusion topics…
The workshop will include paper roundtables, panel discussions and poster presentations. This year, our honorable panel members include leading IS scholars (Izak Benbasat, Joey George and Joe Valacich) who will discuss the new frontiers in adoption and diffusion research).
Faculty members and doctoral students are encouraged to attend and submit papers for roundtable discussion and poster session. Doctoral students submitting papers to the conference will be eligible for a workshop scholarship that covers the DIGIT registration fee.
Instructions for contributors can be found at: http://www.sigadit.net/digit.html
Please let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns.

*
Overview*
After the huge investments of the last decade on the development of
learning technologies that didn’t succeed in being massively transferred
within schools and other educational settings, decision makers and
scholars started to realize that the bottleneck is largely determined by
people and cultural settings: for example the teachers’ level of
acceptance of the technologies as aids for the realization of higher
quality educational processes. A level of acceptance that, surprisingly,
is much lower than the corresponding one concerning technologies used
daily to satisfy individuals’needs.
This special issue, therefore, intends to investigate in more detail the
nature of the barriers that still prevent the acquisition of adequate
digital literacy and competences by teachers. A precondition, this
latter, needed to exploit at best the potentialities of the technologies
that should be adopted, not because of the last wave, but rather to
sharpen with educational and technical awareness the quality of the
learning processes.
We welcome contributions offering original perspectives or describing
case studies useful to answer at least one of the following questions:
• Under which pedagogical perspective should teachers’ acquire digital
literacy and competences and use them daily into the schools, by going
beyond the “do it yourself” attitude and embracing a systemic vision ?
• How teachers’ digital literacy needs to cross over and through other
literacies and
account for cultural issues, social contexts and peculiarities of the
knowledge domain under consideration ?
• Due to its continuous lagging behind the technology evolution, there
is no established and shared definition of digital literacy. Are,
therefore, the frameworks of reference developed to describe teachers’
digital competences (e.g. UNESCO 2011) still useful or need to be
redefined ? How far can be used in a world where the formal learning is
mixing more and more with informal and not formal ones ?
• How one can take advantage of the digital skills and competences that
teachers usually acquire during their daily life - for example by using
smart phones and social services - and transfer them into schools
settings, practices and processes ?
• How decision makers will effectively take care of the training needs
of educators and support the acquisition of adequate technological,
methodological and managerial skills ?
• How teacher’s individual digital literacy and competences interplay
with the e-maturity level of the bodies in which s/he operates (schools
and learning eco-systems at large) and, more in general, may influence
their transformation ?

The 15th International Conference on Software Reuse (ICSR 2016)
Jun 5-7, 2016, St. Raphael Resort, Limassol, Cyprus
http://cyprusconferences.org/icsr2016/
For decades the International Conference on Software Reuse (ICSR) has been
the premier event in the field of software reuse research and technology. The
main goal of ICSR is to present the most recent advances and breakthroughs
in the area of software reuse and to promote an intensive and continuous
exchange among researchers and practitioners. The 15th International
Conference on Software Reuse (ICSR 2016) will be held on June 4-6 2016, in
Cyprus.
CALL FOR RESEARCH PAPERS
We invite submissions on new and innovative research results and industrial
experience reports in the area of software reuse. The guiding theme of
ICSR 2016 is:
Software reuse: bridging with social-awareness
Development online social networks are gaining ground lately with software
engineers participating in different fora collaborating and exchanging ideas
and expertise. Software reuse needs to utilize, but also strengthen, this new
form of synergies that can be built among engineers. ICSR special theme
aims to bring this aspect in software reuse by raising social-awareness,
strengthening the existing platforms and tools, and utilizing the vast
software information that exists in development social networks.
Amongst the numerous important challenges we identified the following
major topics for research focusing on reuse with social-awareness:
· Social network interactions between developers to support software reuse
· Utilization of online social development tools for software reuse
· Software reuse to enhance social-awareness
· Trust, security and semantic issues of social aspects of software reuse
Beyond those novel challenges for software reuse, we solicit submissions
dealing with all aspects of software reuse, including, but not limited to the
following ones:
· Domain analysis and modelling
· Asset search and retrieval
· Architecture-centric reuse approaches
· Component-based reuse
· Service-oriented architectures
· COTS-based development and reuse of open source assets
· Generative development
· Domain-specific languages
· Software composition and modularization
· Model-driven development
· Reengineering for reuse
· Software product line techniques
· Quality assurance for software reuse, such as testing and verification
· Reuse of non-code artifacts (process, experience, etc.)
· Economic models of reuse
· Benefit and risk analysis, scoping
· Legal and managerial aspects of reuse
· Transition to software reuse
· Industrial experience with reuse
· Light-weight reuse approaches
· Agile reuse
· Software evolution and reuse
· Reuse for mobile and ubiquitous applications
Paper Submission
Novel and well-founded work in the wider area of software reuse is highly
welcome. We look for strong research work which might have a strong
theoretical or empirical foundation. Theoretical work should in particular
provide innovative ideas and should be based on a sound theoretical basis.
Empirical work based on case studies, empirical research and experiments
is also highly welcome. Industrial submissions describing practical
experience are also strongly encouraged.
Submissions must conform to Springer's Lecture Notes in Computer Science
format, and are limited to 16 pages in length, in English. Short papers (up to
8 pages) are accepted as well and should be marked accordingly. You will be
able to submit your paper via Easychair. Each submission will be reviewed by
at least three members of the Program Committee. We plan to have a best
paper award for this conference, details will be announced in due time.
Accepted papers will be published in Springer's highly visible LNCS series
again. Please note that a full conference (i.e. not a student) registration is
required for a technical paper to be published.
Moreover, the prestigious Journal of Systems and Software will dedicate a
special issue on software reuse for which the authors of selected papers from
the conference will be invited to submit an extended version (containing at
least 30% new material). The CFP of the special issue can be found here:
http://www.journals.elsevier.com/journal-of-systems-and-software/call-for-p…
CALL FOR WORKSHOP PROPOSALS
ICSR 2016, the premier conference on software reuse, invites proposals for

*Inhalt*
Da Informationstechnologien (IT) und Informationssysteme (IS) heute und

Dear Colleagues:
SIG *Social Technical Issues and Social Inclusion (SIGSTISI) *is in the
process of soliciting mini-track proposals for AMCIS 2016. If you are
interested, please let us know. The track description and deadlines are
given below.
Description
<http://amcis2016.aisnet.org/index.php/papers-and-posters/track-list#SIGSTIS…>
The *Social-Technical Issues and Social Inclusion* track focuses on
information systems research areas impacting the intersection of humans and
technology. It provides a venue for scholars of multiple Information
Systems research areas to present research related to a broad range of
social-technical issues as well as social inclusion issues. This track
creates an area for interested researchers to establish platforms for
future research leading to comprehensive research streams dealing with
information systems and social, ethical, political, and cultural aspects
from the individual, organizational, or societal focus. Once an emerging
topics research stream has been started for a few years with ongoing
research, the emerging topics often spin-off to become new tracks.
This track also partners with the related Special Interest Group (SIG)
– *Social
Inclusion*, which focuses on issues relating to diversity and social
exclusion within an Information Society. The track also addresses
under-represented groups within the IT field whether producers or consumers
of information systems and technology. This partnership provides a greater
awareness and an opportunity to focus related research into a more
comprehensive research stream.
The *Social-Technical Issues and Social Inclusion* track solicits research
papers (conceptual, theoretical, and empirical) as well as case studies,
research-in-progress, and best practices / lessons learned. It provides a
