For example, mobile phone shipments were expected to reach 1.9 billion units in 2014; a 3.1% increase from 2013. It is predicted that there will be more than 4 billion app users worldwide in 2017. With the rapid growth of mobile users, how to protect mobile networks against various attacks has become a big question. For years, security experts have predicted the rise of mobile attacks and malware. Therefore, the need for secure solutions in the mobile environment is increasing. Objective of the book: Mobile networks and related devices (e.g., phones or tablets) are an increasingly significant target for various attacks. Thus, the aim of this book is to gather and analyze the latest attacks, solutions and trends relating to mobile security in both academia and industry. Its scope includes mobile networks, mobile phone security, and wireless security. Recommended Topics This book welcomes chapters on a wide range of issues related to mobile networks and devices, including all aspects of attacks and solutions. Indicative topics include, but are not limited to, the following: - Intrusion detection and prevention schemes for mobile networks - Tracing back mobile attackers - Secure routing and access control - Mobile authentication mechanisms - Security testing of new or existing usability features, - Agent based intrusion surveillance - Wireless Access Technologies - Multimedia security issues for tackling intruders We welcome both surveys and technical chapters presenting novel analytical research, simulations, practical results and case studies. Chapter Proposals/Full Chapters submission Chapter proposals and full chapters can be submitted using email attachments to editors via email (mobilenetwork.chapter(a)gmail.com) with the email subject of "Chapters for Protecting Mobile Networks and Devices: Challenges and Solutions". Authors of accepted proposals will be notified by around May 30, 2015, but final acceptance will still depend upon a review of the resulting chapter. Authors should send the chapters in single column format (single spaced, 10 point Times Roman font, 8.5 x 11-inch page size). -The maximum number of pages for the proposal is 2. -The full chapter submission can have about 16 to 25 pages, but more are allowed. The aim of the Kaleidoscope conferences is to identify emerging developments in information and communication technologies (ICTs) and, in particular, areas in need of international standards to aid the healthy development of the Information Society. The 'Connect 2020' framework embedded in ITU's Strategic Plan elaborates a guiding vision for the future development of the Information Society, focusing on inclusive and sustainable growth of the ICT ecosystem. Kaleidoscope 2015: Trust in the Information Society will analyze means of building information infrastructures deserving our trust. The ICT ecosystem has become a facility we can no longer do without, making it essential to ensure that users of ICTs may trust in the Information Society. Concerns continue to grow around what has been dubbed the "darker side" of the Information Society. All industry sectors are expected to deploy technologies under the banner of IoT, and the interconnection of all types of objects - from vehicles to streetlights and household appliances - gives rise to unprecedented implications for data security, the reliability of critical infrastructure and the privacy and safety of the world's citizens. Given the borderless nature of the network, addressing concerns around security is not only a national priority; it is inherently global. A more comprehensive approach to security is required, taken in a view of the entire digital ecosystem. Kaleidoscope 2015 will provide a platform to analyze the notion of "trust" in the ICT context as well as innovations embedding trust into ICT ecosystems and infrastructures to bring greater certainty, confidence and predictability to our interactions within the Information Society. Kaleidoscope 2015: Trust in the Information Society calls for original research papers offering bold, innovative approaches to the research into and development of standardized platforms for the benefit of all, in particular underserved communities and citizens of developing countries. A key point will be the identification of the main challenges still to be addressed to develop standards supporting the development of trustworthy information infrastructures. The 2015 edition of Kaleidoscope will contribute to the celebration of ITU's 150th anniversary, which will be a tribute to the extraordinary innovation of the global ICT community. The story of ITU is one of international cooperation among governments, industry players, civil society, academia and research institutes. Business Process as a Service (BPaaS) is about the implementation of business processes based on the cloud services model. Companies have been automating business processes for decades. With the advent of cloud computing, they are looking at a more service-oriented approach. BPaaS sits on top of the other three foundational cloud services: SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.A BPaaS service is configurable based on the process being designed. Social media unite several communication channels and enhance opportunities for citizens to provide feedback to government officers and political representatives. Guidelines for the use of online social networks and other social media are relatively new in governmental agencies and many implementation challenges still persist. Given that the demand for social media-based government services is growing, issues related to privacy, information leakage, blurred boundaries between private and public spheres, and government surveillance must all be urgently addressed. This minitrack is open to papers that cover all aspects of social media, particularly in the context of citizen participation and electronic government. Rapid advances in mobile cloud computing, man-machine, machine-machine communications, smart phone networks will cause a new paradigm shift in CPSS design, applications, and operations by bringing improvements not only to the quality of service (QoS) but also to quality of experiment (QoE) and quality of protection (QoP) in terms of the cost efficiency, reliability, security, and energy efficiency from the human perspective of view. The integration of cyber-physical systems and social networks also provides a novel platform to addresses challenges in cyber-physical-social interactions and human-centric technologies development by using powerful tools such as social computing, social cooperation, and social sensing, etc. Application examples of employing mobile computing in CPSS include traffic accidents detection in smart transportation, energy management in smart grid, health monitoring and evaluation. The introduction of social elements into CPS poses new system design challenges and open research issues. Therefore, safety and reliability requirements of physical components are qualitatively different from general-purpose distributed computing infrastructures and lack of consistent and unified system modelling and design principles. Resources in data centers and cloud infrastructures have to be efficiently managed and scheduled to optimize reliability and scalability of CPSS under various constraints of QoE and QoP. Besides, CPSS are expected to deal with data directly coming from trans-domain applications, which could be in various forms such as GPS coordinates, flood level, temperature, rainfall rate, vehicle speed, electricity consumption, etc. How to coordinate various applications of heterogeneous systems and facilitate a deeper integration, interaction and personalization of the physical, cyber, and social domains is another important challenge. This “Cyber-Physical-Social Systems” special issue aims to cover the most recent research and development on the enabling technologies for CPSS, and to stimulate more discussions in this field.
