Call for Papers
Unless you have unlimited resources you have to decide which customer needs to fulfill first and which ones later. This management task of focusing and controlling the development represents above all a communication process between all relevant stakeholders. Prioritization activities and means of communication have to go hand in hand to minimize the risk of dissatisfying the customer. Coping with interdependent tasks and sharing their motivation these strongly intertwined actions strive to achieve consensus about the requirements to be fulfilled in a negotiation process.
RePriCo'16 will serve as a platform for the presentation and discussion of new and innovative approaches to prioritization and communication issues in requirements engineering. Topics can either carry out new research approaches with a fundamental theoretical background or best-practices from practitioners. The workshop aims at bringing together the more formal disciplines of decision support using evaluation methods with the more informal domains of negotiation and collaboration. The workshop wants to further raise the communities' awareness to the important linkage of communication and prioritization activities in Requirements Engineering.
Submission
We invite original submissions as classical full research papers or experience reports (up to 12 pages). Due to the highly interactive character of the workshop aiming at a lively and controversial discussion we encourage explicitly the submission of vision papers, problem statements and research previews (up to 6 pages). Furthermore the International Journal of Information System Modeling and Design has accepted a special issue with extended versions of invited papers from the REFSQ 2016 Workshops!

Rapid and constant growth of technology has transformed our world into a
knowledge society. Knowledge and learning systems play an evident role in
business sustainability. Work force has evolved from traditional single
skilled to multi skilled personnel who juggle various tasks in a single
role. Thus, the need to promote lifelong learning, e-learning and on the
job training to constantly keep the workforce well equipped with the
current skills required by the industry. Latest research reveals immense
importance in introducing Knowledge Management (KM) ideas to e-learning
systems. It is disputed that KM can facilitate an e-learning system,
whereby the collaboration between e-learning and KM will provide the single
goal of organizational learning. KM is an integration of enormous number of
endeavours and fields of study from the application of new technology to
the harnessing of the intellectual capital of an organisation (Boswell &
Olson, 2007).
Work-Life Balance is a method of balancing the pressure of work with family
and social lifestyle demands (Cabanac & Hartley, 2013). This topic has been
debated over years but in the present important aspect of human resource
and retaining employees. Current work methods have lead employees to be
overly stressed and leading unhealthy lifestyle practices to sustain their
work needs as compared to personal and family engagements. However, the
availability of KM and sound learning systems may have a role to play in
providing employees a better work-life balance.
In this note, we consider an opportunity to see growth in studies that
relate to the role of KM and Learning Systems in enhancing employee
work-life balance. The topics of interest include the following but are not
limited:
• Information systems management
• Life Long Learning
• e-Learning and Job based Training
• Knowledge based systems
• Impact of technology in sustaining Work-Life Balance (WLB)
• Work-Life Balance challenges for employees, employers and policy-makers
• Enhancing employee Work-Life Balance, in sustaining or enhancing
organisational effectiveness
We are interested in both theoretical and practical papers that aim to
improve work-life balance through the utilization of KM and Learning
Systems.

===========================================
*Overview*
-----------------------------------------------------------
The widespread distribution of mobile devices as well as the massive
availability of mobile apps has created innovative opportunities for
teaching and learning in both general and special education. Special
education here means “specially designed instruction, at no cost to the
parents, to meet the unique needs of a child with a disability,
including: (i) Instruction conducted in the classroom, in the home, in
hospitals and institutions, and in other settings; and (ii) Instruction
in physical education” (20 U.S.C. 1401(29)). This framework concerns
every type of disability, physical as well as cognitive, from autism to
speech/language and hearing impairments.
Mobile Learning has the potential to positively impact special education
for at least three key reasons. First, it allows and promotes the use
of multi-sensorial inputs able to overcome possible problems of
communication, improving the resulting capacity of comprehension.
Second, the personalized support offered by mobile technology is
especially important for a child with special needs, who usually
requires individualized support. Third, the cooperative dimension that
mobile devices can create through their dynamics is a key-front in
disability studies.
Although research has supported mobile learning, the field lacks a
significant body of research in the use of mobile devices and
applications for supporting students in special education. This is
not to discredit existing studies; however, the field needs more
research (theoretical and empirical) to further support researchers,
designers, teachers, parents, teacher educators, etc.
In light of these considerations, the special issue on Mobile Learning
and Special Education aims to stimulate proposals from researchers,
developers and educators. Suggestions from Special Education and
Educational Technology fields are particularly encouraged. However, the
issue addresses also scholars and practitioners from Design, Art and
Computer Sciences in order to stimulate creative efforts able to push
beyond the frontiers of the topic. Finally, experts from disciplines
like Game Studies, Media Studies and STS (Science and Technology
Studies) are welcome due to related contribution in terms of engagement,
cultural analysis and oriented social/technological infrastructures. .
-----------------------------------------------------------
*Topics of Interests*
-----------------------------------------------------------
We welcome papers on any of the following topics, and related ones:
• Mobile development (programming, development, production, promotion)
toward special education
• Special education teaching and learning based on mobile apps and
infrastructures for disability categories
• Assessment of the experience of the user with a disability (ID,
usability, etc.)
• Technology-mediated social patterns concerning special needs
• Participative design dealing with disabilities
• Best practices in involving, linking and supporting online
individuals, stakeholders, groups and communities connected to special
education
• Exploration of online networking opportunities to disseminate results,
support operators and stakeholders, and enable community feelings are
particularly appreciated.

Hello
This is the Second call for papers for the 17th European Conference on Knowledge Management - ECKM 2016 being hosted by The University of Ulster, Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK on the 1-2 September 2016
This call will close on 11th February 2016.
The world economy in which we are living poses challenges that lead to a realization that 'more of the same' will be difficult to sustain. This provides an illustration that, in order to create new or modified knowledge practices, strengthen customer relationships and thus positively influence customer satisfaction, organizations must be flexible in configuring (combining) knowledge and knowledge structures in a way that is appropriate for delivering value to the customer. It must simultaneously develop effective strategies for updating the knowledge of its staff members necessary for underpinning the creation and delivery of appropriate knowledge services. Thus, unlearning (forgetting) becomes a critical means for organizational success. The ECKM community of scholars has already initiated dialogue that links its particular strengths to innovation issues.
This conference aims to further that dialogue by attracting leading edge work that leverages the ECKM community's in-depth understanding of learning and unlearning to better understand knowledge management. Our aim is to stimulate breakthrough research streams linking learning, unlearning and knowledge management.

Internet of Wearable Things Workshop (IoWT'2016)
<https://sites.google.com/site/iowt2016/>
https://sites.google.com/site/iowt2016/
March 10, 2016. Sonoma, California.
Co-located with IUI'2016.
Call for papers:
================
The IoWT workshop is the first workshop that is aimed at focusing on
wearable-computing and its intersection with the Ineternet-of-Things (IoT)
for the creation of innovative solutions. This focal point is in good fit
with the IUI conference overall aim to blend between HCI and the AI
communities, and also between academia and industry. Consequently, the
proposed workshop is aimed at bringing together researchers and
practitioners interested in wearable-computing based applications, including
also the interesting interplay between this emerging field and the more
mature areas of mobile and ubiquitous computing.
The blending of IoT and wearables enables the creation of new solutions that
combine data of multiple sensors and data stores as the basis for a more
intimate and timely interaction with the user, and high level of situational
awareness. Special attention may be given to the creation of innovative
solutions, not only applicable to consumers, but also to the enterprise.
This can possibly be the basis for newly created business services.
>From the scientific point of view, the enablement of new wearable-based
solutions requires synergy among multiple disciplines, such as Machine
Learning, Signal Processing, Human-Computer Interaction, Data and Knowledge
Representation, Information Visualization, Computational Neurosciences, and
even Education. For example, there are many implications to mental and
emotional signals that can be revealed via the use of wearables (e.g., EEG,
heart-rate variability, GSR) as a means to determine whether the user is
capable of performing her tasks, let it be a field worker, a combat pilot, a
stock broker, or an elder user living alone.
>From the practical point of view, it is critical to not only study the
theoretical foundations but also accumulate and generalize the knowledge
that is gathered by industry in building corresponding technological
infrastructures, methods, and tools to ease the development and operation of
wearable-centric solutions across different markets (e.g., wellness &
healthcare, banking, insurance, security & safety, transportation).
We invite researchers and practitioners from the corresponding fields to
submit papers that investigate the different perspectives underlying the
most recent advances pertaining to the intersection between wearable-enabled
computing and the IoT, with a focus on enabling enterprise innovation. We
aim at discussing the current state of ongoing research, novel approaches,
with intention to also provide a stimulating focused platform for sharing
practical experiences and business models (e.g., bring your own wearable
device).
The list of topics that is relevant to the Internet of Wearable Things
includes, but is not limited to:
* Wearable and ubiquitous computing.
* Wearable-computing delivery platforms for the enterprise.
* Wearables and nearables as-a service.
* Wearable data analytics for multiple / parallel / massive data streams.
* Human-activity recognition.
* Human-behavior / capability augmentation.
* Gesture and pattern detection.
* Brain-computer interaction.
* Multi-modal / multi-sensory / immersive interactions.
* Body-worn sensors, cameras, head-mounted displays.
* Semantic integration of multiple data streams.
* Body-worn device advances.
* Wearable-based enterprise applications and services.
* Mobile back-end as-a hub/gateway.
* Low-power / energy efficient computing.
* Wearable technology adoption and business models.
* Wearable-computing related API economy / standards / protocols /
best-practices.
* Sensor networks, mesh, BANs, and ad-hoc computing.
Workshop papers will be published in a joint CEUR proceedings (
<http://ceur-ws.org/> http://ceur-ws.org/).
Paper submission:
=================
Papers should be up to 8 pages in length.
