DETAILS ABOUT THE ISSUE
***************************
Developing smart city is the key to the next generation urbanization
process for improving the efficiency, reliability, and security of a
traditional city. The concept of smart city includes various aspects
such as environmental sustainability, social sustainability, regional
competitiveness, natural resources management, cybersecurity, and
quality of life improvement. With the massive deployment of networked
smart devices/sensors, unprecedentedly large amount of sensory data can
be collected and processed by advanced computing paradigms which are the
enabling techniques for smart city. For example, given historical
environmental, population and economic information, salient modeling and
analytics are needed to simulate the impact of potential city planning
strategies, which will be critical for intelligent decision making.
Analytics are also indispensable for discovering the underlying
structure from retrieved data in order to design the optimal policies
for real time automatic control in the cyberphysical smart city system.
Furthermore, uncertainties and security concerns in the data collected
from heterogeneous resources aggravate the problem, which makes smart
city planning, operation, monitoring and control highly challenging.
The topics of interest for this special issue include, but are not
limited to:
• Advanced big data modeling and analytics for smart city
planning, monitoring and control
• Social media, crowdsourcing and collaborative behavior management
• Outdoor/indoor geolocation and cartography continuity
• Design and implementation of embedded system for smart city
applications
• Advanced control techniques in the smart city as a cyberphysical
system
• Technologies in electrical vehicle, smart building and smart home
• Cybersecurity and privacy issues related to smart city
• Heterogeneous sensor network and cooperative sensing for smart city
• Renewable energy and smart energy management for smart city
• Design and synthesis of computing schemes and architectures for
smart city
• Development of fault detection and diagnosis techniques for
smart city
• Modeling and computing techniques for environmental and social
issues in smart city
• Sustainable technologies for smart city

April 27 - 30, 2015
Barcelona, Spain
Important Deadlines:
Doctoral Consortium Submission: February 18, 2015
Author Notification: March 3, 2015
Camera-Ready and Registration: March 13, 2015
------------------------------------------
Dear Gustaf Neumann,
The 17th International Conference on Enterprise Information Systems - ICEIS 2015 (http://www.iceis.org) will hold a Doctoral Consortium on Enterprise Information Systems providing an opportunity for graduate students to explore their research interests in an interdisciplinary workshop, under the guidance of a panel of distinguished experts in the field.
The Doctoral Consortium will provide students with an opportunity to:
- Present their research work in a relaxed and supportive environment;
- Receive feedback and suggestions from peers and experienced faculty;
- Gain an overview of the breadth and depth of enterprise information Systems;
- Obtain insight into directions for enterprise information systems research taken by other doctoral candidates;
- Discuss concerns about research, supervision, the job market, and other issues;
- Network with peers and future colleagues
The paper that a PhD student can submit until February 18 needs to be written in a specific format, appropriate for facilitating the aforementioned discussion, therefore it is expected to be a much simpler paper and definitely not a regular paper.
There will be a review and selection process and the accepted papers will be included in the CD-ROM that also includes the proceedings of the conference. Additionally, the papers of the Doctoral Consortium presented at the venue will also be included in the SCITEPRESS Digital Library. However, they will not be included in the book of proceedings as archival publications therefore they will remain free of copyright and the registration will be a "student registration".
Should you have any question or suggestions please don't hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Vitor Pedrosa

Betreff: [AISWorld] CFP -> 2015 Dewald Roode Workshop on Information
Systems Security Research

The 2015 Dewald Roode Workshop on Information Systems Security Research IFIP WG8.11/WG11.13 (http://ifip.byu.edu) October 2-3, 2015 University of Delaware, Newark, Delaware, USA
CALL FOR PAPERS
Following the success of the first six Information Systems Security Research Workshops (University of Cape Town, May 2009; Bentley University, October 2010; Virginia Tech, September, 2011; Brigham Young University, September, 2012; University at Buffalo, October, 2013; and Newcastle University Business School, June 2014), the seventh workshop will continue the efforts to advance the discipline of information systems security through the creation, dissemination, and preservation of well-formed research. Through the active discussion in the workshop, participants will receive specific feedback on their research and provide feedback to others.
As in the previous six years, the Dewald Roode Workshop places a premium on research with highly reliable and validated theories, empirical data, and quantitative/qualitative social scientific methodologies. The workshop is intended to nurture individual papers for submission to a wide variety of top quality research journals. (See http://ifip.byu.edu for past DRW papers which have been published in journals.) Selection for the workshop is competitive, and only authors of the accepted papers and the active working group members will be invited to participate.
Anchoring the workshop to information systems means that the research will attend to and extend the social, organizational, and managerial literature in the focal area. Note that this is not an appropriate venue for papers with a purely technical, design-science, or economic approach. While we assume an effective foundation in information security technology, we regard information systems risk broadly, for example, computer crime, employee misconduct, cyber warfare, cyber terrorism, human error and/or accident, natural events, etc. We also address information systems security broadly, for example, privacy, awareness, policies, strategy, audit, planning and control. These and related research topics will be the focus of this workshop. Topics may include (but are not limited to):
* Theoretical and empirical analyses of information security behavior
* Adoption, use, and continuance of information security technologies and policies
* Compliance with information security and privacy policies, procedures, and regulations
* Investigations of computer crime and security violations
* Motivators and inhibitors of employee computer crime
* Forensic analysis of security breaches and computer crimes
* Individual, organizational, and group information privacy concerns and behaviors
* Legal, societal, and ethical issues in information security
* Neurosecurity (NeuroIS) investigations of information security behavior
General Chair:
John D'Arcy, University of Delaware, USA
Program Chairs:
Anthony Vance, Brigham Young University, USA Mark Keith, Brigham Young University, USA Bonnie Anderson, Brigham Young University, USA
Submission Information:
Submission deadline: June 1, 2015
Notification to authors: August 1, 2015 Attending participants must register by August 15, 2015 Deadline for final papers: September 5, 2015 (to be distributed to workshop attendees in advance) Papers should be submitted via Dewald.Roode(a)gmail.com
Manuscripts will be prescreened by the program chairs to ensure that all papers sent to reviewers are reasonably complete, well-formed, and appropriate to the scope and mission of the workshop. Double blind reviews will follow for prescreened papers. Authors can submit the manuscripts as "early stage" or "completed papers." Manuscripts must be anonymous for the review process.
In recognition that the review process greatly relies upon a scarce resource of the services of reviewers, authors, by the act of submission, are implicitly promising to serve as a reviewer on one to two conference papers, if requested.
For general questions about the workshop, please contact John D'Arcy at jdarcy(a)udel.edu.
For questions about the program, please contact Bonnie Anderson at bonnie_anderson(a)byu.edu or Mark Keith at mark.keith(a)gmail.com.
Workshop Date and Location:
The workshop will take place on October 2-3, 2015 at the John M. Clayton Hall Conference Center at the University of Delaware. The University of Delaware is located in Newark, DE - halfway between New York and Washington, D.C., and approximately 40 minutes from the Philadelphia International Airport. The conference center and adjacent hotel are within a 5 - 10 minute walk of Main Street in downtown Newark. Main Street is home to many wonderful restaurants and shops, which would provide conference attendees with after-hours activities.

*21st Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS’15)*
Puerto Rico, August 13-15, 2015
*Mini-track:* Semantic Technologies and Big Data Analytics
*Track: *Intelligence and Intelligent Systems (SIGODIS)
*Description*
**
The vision of Semantic Integration for Big Data Analytics is to have
heterogeneous data linked in such a way that machines can understand its
meanings for the exchange and reuse of large amounts of data across
heterogeneous data sources. The semantic representation of heterogeneous
data, augmented with ontology of domain theories, will enable us to link
a large network of human knowledge and make this knowledge
machine-understandable. This will in turn enable various knowledge
systems to effectively analyze and reason the big data to uncover useful
information. Semantic Integration of heterogeneous data has been
recognized as one of the most important research issues and has received
considerable attention from both academia and industry. Semantic
integration has made significant progress over several years when
numerous issues have been addressed and many applications have been
developed. However, despite all of these advances, the current state of
semantic integration requires significant improvements to make it more
effective in a broader range of applications. This mini-track will
