IEEE Symposium Software Crowdsourcing 2015 - Call for Papers
http://rcbd.buaa.edu.cn/issc/
Scope and Vision
Large-scale software ecosystems, such as cloud-based global online service systems and metropolitan-wide cyber-physical systems, exhibit unprecedented complexity, variability, and uncertainty. To tackle the challenges that arise from the practices of engineering these social-technical systems, we need new software models and development methodologies to build and maintain sustainable and active software ecosystems. Recently, crowdsourcing has been shown to be a viable and promising approach to enable bootstrapping and orchestration of software ecosystems at large scales. Through software crowdsourcing, software companies can seek funding support, market products to a wider range of customers, and to leverage the collective intelligence of developer communities to deliver high quality and innovative software products with lower cost.
This symposium aims to bring together researchers and practitioners working in the fields of software engineering, open source software, social networking, crowdsourcing, organization and economic science, and cloud computing to discuss the fundamental principles, software architecture and models, and development process of the methodology. The primary objective of the symposium is to share research ideas and practices in the emerging area of software crowdsourcing. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Software crowdsourcing process and methodology

University of Oulu welcomes you to the /Sixth Scandinavian Conference on
Information Systems (SCIS 2015)/ to be held in Oulu, Finland. The
conference will be held in conjunction with the 38th Information Systems
Research Seminar in Scandinavia (IRIS 2015). While many of the
participants are from the Nordic countries, researchers from all parts
of the world are warmly welcome to the conference.
*Conference theme: **System design for, with and by users*
Information systems are in various forms embedded in everyday human
practices. They have become intertwined and embedded in almost all parts
of our everyday life, including leisure, thereby establishing new forms
of participation and design. Hence, "users" cannot be considered as
passive consumers anymore, but at least as content producers if not even
as co-designers and innovators. This calls for reconsidering the
traditional understandings of the roles of users and designers as well
as for different development approaches that place emphasis on users'
empowerment, motivation and inclusion in designing, shaping, innovating
and co-creating information systems in their everyday life. The SCIS
conference theme challenges IS researchers to consider these new forms
of participation, persuasion and design---/for, with and by
users/---both in the sense of understanding the phenomenon better and in
devising better support for it. We also call for reflective accounts on
this decades old theme that has from the very beginning characterized
Scandinavian IS design.
*Paper submission*
SCIS 2015 is open for full research papers within the conference theme
as well as other areas of IS research. We welcome empirical as well as
theoretical and methodological papers. Papers are not to exceed 6000
words/16 pages. Papers must be formatted according to the _Springer
LNBIP instructions_ <http://www.springer.com/series/7911> and submitted
through EasyChair: _https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=scis2015_

Dear G. Neumann,
Let me kindly inform you that there is an open call for papers, until December 1, for the Special Session on Social Model-Driven Engineering for Enterprises - SMDEE 2015.
This special session aims at discussing the latest developments in social model-driven engineering techniques that would help inject social elements into enterprises’ applications. This should be done by capturing social relations between the enterprise’s stakeholders and abstracting these relations using dedicated models. Later on these models are converted onto executable software programs. These programs will reinforce the fact that employees establish and maintain social networks of contacts, rely on some privileged contacts when needed, and form with their peers strong and long lasting social collaborative groups. In today’s economies, an enterprise’s ability to sustain its growth and competitiveness depends on how well it socially manages its communications with various stakeholders for instance, customers, suppliers, competitors, and partners.
This special session is part of the International Conference on Model-Driven Engineering and Software Development (MODELSWARD - http://www.modelsward.org/), which is sponsored by the Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information and Control and Communication (INSTICC), co-organized by the ESEO Group (ESEO) and held in Cooperation with the ACM Special Interest Group on Management Information Systems (ACM SIGMIS), Open Group SOA Work Group (SOA),IEICE Special Interest Group on Software Interprise Modelling (SWIM) and ACM Special Interest Group on Software Engineering (ACM SIGSOFT) and technically co-sponsored by the AIS Special Interest Group on Modeling and Simulation (AIS SIGMAS), IEEE Technical Council on Software Engineering (IEEE CS - TCSE) and IEEE Technical Committee on Business Informatics and Systems (IEEE CS - TCBIS). INSTICC is Member of the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC), Object Management Group (OMG) and Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agents (FIPA). The Logistics Partner is the Science and Technology Events (SCITEVENTS).
MODELSWARD will be held in ESEO, Angers, France next year, on February 9 - 11, 2015.
Submitted papers will be subject to a double-blind review process. All accepted papers will be published in a special section of the conference proceedings book, under an ISBN reference and on CD-ROM support.
The proceedings will be submitted for indexation by Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (ISI), INSPEC, DBLP, EI (Elsevier Index) and Scopus.

===================================================================================================================
TRACK DESCRIPTION
Media firms face the central tension between the need to optimize and to innovate. Innovation is constantly needed
as audiences are fragmenting as well as changing their preferences, and demand is rapidly declining. Thus, mechanisms
must be developed to allow a multi-platform exploitation of content so that user preferences are fulfilled and returns
from investments ensured. Information technology plays a key role within this context.
Newly emerged forms of news and, more in general, knowledge gathering, dissemination and consumption have been
challenging traditional economic and working models during the past decade. These new forms are driven by mass
creativity, interactive rather than passive consumption of media, erosion of industrial control over the means
of production and the development of highly accessible new communication technologies. The implications of these
emerging modes of practice have enormous potential for constructive growth and increased competitiveness within
our economic system.
Media are therefore an interesting and worthwhile research object for both media and information technology
scholars. Besides strategic management, innovation and technology management theories as well as concepts from
disciplines such as sociology and psychology can be applied in order to better understand the impact of social
media on the development of new business models, and on media user and consumer behavior. This track aims
therefore at merging media management as well as information management and systems researchers to stimulate
discussion around the current status as well as the future development of media from a technological, managerial,
business as well as social point of view.
The proposed track will focus on (but is not limited to) topics such as
- The role of information technology within the development of the media industry
- The impact of information systems on the economics of the media business
- Network and Lock-in effects on media industry structure and competition
- Information systems and media convergence issues
- The role of technology acceptance factors for the adoption and diffusion of technology driven media products
- The role of content and information systems for the creation of new media business models
- The interplay between technology and content, and their impact on media consumer choices
- Information technology and the emergence of new media professions
- The link between information systems and the development of data journalism
- The impact of information systems on journalistic work and processes
- Information technology, audience measurement and audience participation
- Information technology and social media management
TYPES OF CONTRIBUTIONS
The proposed track on media management aims at attracting the full spectrum of submissions:
- Completed papers that represent a mature, theory-driven and empirically validated research
- Research-in-progress papers that explore emerging research areas and would profit from discussion and feedback at ECIS
- Practical examples of technology sustained new media business models and managerial systems
PAPER SUBMISSIONS
Research papers and research-in-progress papers are limited to 12 and 7 pages in length respectively,
practical examples to 14 pages. All submissions must use the Word or the LaTeX template on the website
and be submitted as PDF.
Submissions to ECIS 2015 must be original, NOT previously published in a journal or conference proceedings,
nor presented at another conference. Moreover, they must NOT be currently under consideration for publication
or presentation elsewhere. Note that a person can be (co)author of NO more than 3 submissions to ECIS 2015
to assure diversity at the conference.
