The track supplements the global SIG-ASYS forums at AMCIS 2010 and prior to ICIS 2010. It is intended to establish a European perspective on AIS research at the ECIS conference series. http://sigasys.aisnet.org/ The objective is to bring together researchers from all disciplines related to Accounting Information Systems and to intensify the exchange between the various perspectives on research at the intersection of Accounting and Information Systems. The track will cover a wide range of topics. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: * IS assurance, audit, control, and reporting * IS evaluation, IS assessment, IT business value, IS costs& benefits * IT governance, IT compliance, IT auditing * Enterprise Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning * Business Rules, Business Patterns, Business Engineering * Accounting information systems modelling, design, and implementation * Business process modelling for accounting and auditing issues Insightful, coherent and methodically sound studies of any type (construction-oriented research, design science research, case study-based research, action research, survey studies, archival analysis, experimental research, theory development, etc.) are equally encouraged. Completed research and research-in-progress papers will be accepted. The track will tentatively consist of 4 to 8 journal quality paper presentations, and a panel. The emphasis is on a high level of interaction, discussion, and debate in a friendly, supportive and relaxed atmosphere. At the same time, the intent is to provide a forum for bringing the leading AIS researchers and developing scholars together to discuss and critique leading edge research in the field. Fast-Track Publication The International Journal of Accounting Information Systems (http://www.elsevier.com/locate/accinf) is the sponsoring journal for the track. All accepted papers will be considered for recommendation as a fast-track publication to the International Journal of Accounting Information Systems (IJAIS) by the track chairs in collaboration with the editor-in-chief of IJAIS. This prestigious conference, organized by the Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communications (INSTICC) in cooperation with the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC), will be held in Noordwijkerhout, the Netherlands, next year on May 6-9 and it aims at becoming the yearly meeting place of top researchers and practitioners in its domain. The conference program will include a number of Keynote Lectures delivered by distinguished world-class researchers. Their names will be announced soon at the conference website. Submitted papers will be subject to a double-blind review process. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, under an ISBN reference, on paper and CD-ROM support. As aspects of open innovation are redrawing boundaries for innovation and collaboration, we encourage researchers and reflective practitioners from all disciplines and fields that focus on aspects of technology and innovation in their research or service to consider submitting proposals for case studies (3000-5000 words) or research articles (7000-10,000 words). Chapters are to address aspects of creating new business opportunities by engaging end-users in co-creative activities by means of supporting technology. While contributions should rest on scientific methods and rigor, the style of writing should be practically oriented and suitable for both researchers and advanced practitioners interested in learning about and adopting open innovation. The purpose of the book is to advance and disseminate practically relevant research on systematic practical open innovation, and make research results available to practitioners. The intended target audience is the international academic community and industry (the software and ICT sector as provider of technology and other sectors as adopters), including government, NPOs and NGOs. Open innovation involves all aspects of creating new business opportunities by engaging end-users in co-creative activities. With a great potential to enhance system flexibility and extensibility to meet the dynamic changing business needs, it has been one of the most promising computing paradigm in the Internet era. Presently, many of today’s large-scale software projects in the area of distributed systems and especially enterprise IT adopt service-oriented architecture and technologies. In contrast to traditional software, service-based software is intrinsic heterogeneous, dynamic and collaborative. However, traditional software engineering approaches are not perfectly appropriate for service-oriented applications. The limitations of traditional methods in the context of service-oriented computing have led to the construction and maintenance of service-oriented software as a new specialist discipline, but research in this area is still immature and many open issues remain. There is an urgent need for research community and industry practitioners to develop comprehensive engineering principles, methodologies and tool support for the development,maintenance and evolution of service-oriented software. Each submission must not exceed 12 pages with 10 point font, including tables and figures.Each submission should be regarded as an undertaking that, should the submission be accepted, at least one of the auth must attend the conference to present the work in order that the accepted paper can be put into digital library. Submitting a paper to the workshop means that if the paper is accepted, at least one author should attend the workshop to present the paper. For no-show authors, their papers will be removed from the digital library after the conference and their affiliations will receive a notification. JOEUC invites proposals from well-published scholars for a special issue on end user computing security. We are especially interested in theoretically grounded empirical research studies that emphasize security apparatus usage for end user computing. JOEUC Mission: The primary purpose of the Journal of Organizational and End User Computing (JOEUC) is to provide a forum to information technology educators, researchers, and practitioners to advance the practice and understanding of organizational and end user computing. Prospective authors are invited to submit manuscripts for possible publication in JOEUC. The journal publishes empirical and theoretical research concerned with all aspects of organizational and end user computing. The journal is especially interested in those research studies that show a significant contribution to the area by relating organizational and end user computing to organizational and end user performance and productivity, strategic and competitive advantage, and electronic commerce. It publishes full-length research manuscripts, insightful research and practice notes, and case studies from all areas of organizational and end user computing. JOEUC Coverage: Topics should be drawn from, but not limited to, the following areas, with major emphasis on how to increase organizational and end user productivity and performance, and how to achieve organizational strategic and competitive advantage: Organizational and end user computing (OEUC) productivity and performance; OEUC and how it affects organizational strategic and competitive advantage; OEUC and how it relates to information resources management; using and managing emerging OEUC technologies including electronic commerce; OEUC satisfaction; OEUC in various management functions; OEUC usage; OEUC privacy, security, and copyright issues; OEUC success factors; OEUC controls for security and privacy; OEUC risk factors; OEUC management; OEUC hardware and software; OEUC supports and training. In general, the journal seeks contributions concerning any aspect of organizational and end user information processing including development, usage, satisfaction, performance, productivity, success, failure, policies, strategies, and management. The journal invites contributions from educators, researchers, and practitioners involved in research, management, and utilization of organizational and end user computing. JOEUC Submissions: All manuscripts submitted to JOEUC will undergo a two-way blind review. Authors are asked to submit electronically as an email attachment or mail four copies of their original, previously unpublished manuscript that satisfies the following conditions: Ø Must not be currently under review by another journal. Ø Must be written in APA (American Psychological Association) editorial style. Ø Should not exceed 25 double-spaced typed pages. Ø Must be accompanied by a cover page with author(s)' name, address, telephone number, and affiliation. Ø Should be accompanied by a 150-200 word vita of author(s) on a separate sheet. Submitted pieces for this section should not exceed 15 double-spaced pages. JOEUC Review process: To ensure high quality of the published materials, JOEUC utilizes a group of experts to review submitted manuscripts. Upon receipt of a manuscript, two reviewers are selected from the Editorial Review Board of the journal to review the manuscript. The selection is based on the area of expertise of the reviewers, matched to the subject matter of the submission. An additional ad-hoc reviewer (usually an author who has previously published in JOEUC and who has expertise in the area) is also selected to review the manuscript. Each submission is, therefore, blind reviewed by at least three reviewers. If at least two reviewers make favorable recommendations on a manuscript, the author(s) are given an opportunity to revise the manuscript. The revised manuscript is blind reviewed by an associate editor (AE) and finally reviewed by the editor. Return of a manuscript to the author(s) for revision(s) does not guarantee an acceptance of the manuscript for publication but it is a step in the right direction.
