Betreff: [computational.science] CFP - TouchTheWeb'10 - International
Workshop on Web-enabled Objects
Datum: Thu, 4 Mar 2010 10:59:24 +0100
Von: Fernando Lyardet <fernando(a)tk.informatik.tu-darmstadt.de>
Organisation: "ICCSA"
An: Computational Science Mailing List
<computational.science(a)lists.iccsa.org>
CALL FOR PAPERS
1st International Workshop on Web-enabled Objects (TouchTheWeb 2010)
http://www.touchtheweb.org/
LOCATION AND DATE
The workshop will be held in conjunction with the Tenth International Conference on Web Engineering (ICWE)
http://icwe2010.webengineering.org/ on July 5, 2010 in Vienna, Austria.
SCOPE AND TOPICS
The vision of the Internet of Things builds upon the use of embedded
systems to control devices, tools and appliances. With the addition of
novel communications capabilities and identification means such as RFID,
systems can now gather information from other sensors, devices and
computers on the network, or enable user-oriented customization and
operations through short-range communication. When the information
gathered by different sensors is shared by means of open Web standards,
new services can be defined on top of physical elements. In addition,
the new generation of mobile phones enables a true mobile Internet
experience. These phones are today's ubiquitous information access tool,
and the physical token of our "Digital Me". These meshes of things and
"Digital Me" will become the basis upon which future smart living,
working and production places will be created, delivering services
directly where they are needed.
The fundamental questions in this workshop are:
* How do we apply the lessons learned in Web Engineering to the
Internet of Things?
* What kind of Web-based interaction patterns for embedded devices
(streaming, eventing, etc.) can we identify?
* Applications, deployments, prototypes and evaluations of Web of
things systems.
* Human-things interaction models and paradigms (mobile interfaces,
etc.)
* User-oriented, context-aware discovery and dynamic search for the
real world.
* Compositions of Things and Meshes of Things.
* What kind of interfaces, business models and scenarios these smart
things will create, address and modify?
* How can the services in the surroundings be composed and orchestrated?
The research areas involved are many, including Web Engineering,
Ubiquitous Computing, Product Engineering, Distributed Systems, Human
Computer Interaction, Economics, Artificial Intelligence, and many more.
We look forward in this workshop to bring together different areas of
expertise to help us shape a vision of creating living and working
surrounded by meshes of web-enabled things.
Relevant topics include (but are not limited to) the following:
* Design of Smart Things.
* Artificial Intelligence for Smart Things.
* Semantic-based discovery.
* Orchestration of services provided by smart things.
* Dynamic adaptation of Meshes of Things.
* Meshes of Things in manufacturing.
* End-User mesh composition.
* Interaction with Meshes of Things.
* Development of ubiquitous computing applications.
* Semantic representations for Internet Things.
* Business cases and economic impact of Meshes of Things.
* Managing user attention in a mesh of things.
* Application cases throughout the whole product lifecycle:
evaluation, assembly, vending, maintenance, end-user operation, etc.
SUBMISSIONS
We invite all researchers who want to contribute, to participate by
submitting an ORIGINAL PAPER of up to 12 pages and/or a POSITION STATEMENT
of up to 4 pages (both Springer LNCS style). The papers will
be published as LNCS ICWE 2010 Workshop post-proceedings.
IMPORTANT DATES
April 30, 2010 Submission Deadline.
May. 28, 2010 Notification of Acceptance.

Betreff: [WI] CfP Workshop "Wirtschaftlichkeit und Wertbeitrag von
Informationssystemen" (INFORMATIK 2010)
Datum: Wed, 3 Mar 2010 11:25:41 +0100
Von: Strecker, Stefan, Dr. <stefan.strecker(a)uni-due.de>
An: <wi(a)lists.uni-karlsruhe.de>
CC: Strecker, Stefan, Dr. <stefan.strecker(a)uni-due.de>
http://www.wi-inf.uni-duisburg-essen.de/WWI2010

CALL FOR PAPERS
7. GI-Workshop ISOS 2010
Informationssysteme mit Open Source
im Rahmen der GI-Jahrestagung "Informatik 2010" in Leipzig
27.09.-02.10.2010
****************************************************************************
Informationssysteme mit Open Source
-----------------------------------
alle IT- Verantwortlichen erreicht. Das liegt u.a. an fehlenden
einzureichen:
Software-Engineering und OS
* Software-Architekturen unter Einsatz von OS-Produkten
* PM, QS und Wartung in OS-IS
Jurist. Aspekte des Einsatzes von OS-Produkten
* Lizenzvereinbarungen
* Vertragsgestaltungen
* Haftungsfragen
OS für spezielle Anwendungsbereiche
* Öffentlicher Sektor
* Mobile Anwendungssysteme
* Betriebliche Anwendungssysteme
OS für formale Systeme
* Modellierung komplexer Systeme
* Verifikation von Eigenschafen
Einfluss von OS auf Spezifikationen
* OS und Java-EE
* OS und Web
Adressaten
----------
Themen einzureichen.
