April 20, 2006. Now, the Second Phase is open until May 10, 2006.
The 6th IBIMA Conference on Managing Information in the Digital Economy in
Bonn, Germany 19-21 June 2006. Website: http://www.ibima.org OR
type: IBIMA in any search engine.
To check the status of your submitted paper, please visit
http://www.ibima.org/Bonn2006/index.html for an updat list of accepted
papers so far (other papers are still under review). This website is
updated on regular basis.
2nd Phase Submission deadline: May 10, 2006
Notifications of Acceptance: 3 week from submission date in most cases
IMPORTANT: Four types of submissions:
1- Research papers: complete papers (5000 words max.) with complete
references section.
2- Short papers or abstracts
3- Organized sessions: You can also submit a proposal to organize a
session/workshop. A 100-word description of the topic of the session
along with your information
4- Virtual presentation: Those who are unable to attend the conference
in person but wish to participate in this major international event,
virtual presentation is available. Virtual Presentation allow
participants to submit papers for refereeing and publication in the
conference proceedings, just like a regular paper. Virtual participants
will receive
a full copy of the conference proceedings.

CALL FOR PAPERS
The First International Workshop on
Event-driven Architecture, Processing and Systems (EDA-PS’06)
http://edaps06.cc.gatech.edu/EDA-PS-cfp.htm
September 18 2006, Chicago, USA
In conjunction with ICWS 2006 / SCC 2006
Submission Deadline: April 25, 2006
One of the emerging styles of service interactions is the event-driven
style. Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) is emerging as a variant of Service
Oriented Architecture (SOA) that is being supported by multiple vendors.
EDA systems are widely used in enterprise integration applications, ranging
from time-critical systems, agile process integration systems, managements
of services and processes, delivery of information services, and awareness
to business situations. There is a range of event processing middleware
capabilities, including publish-subscribe services, which have been
incorporated into standards such as CORBA and JMS, and into commercial
systems, mediation services such as event transformation, aggregation,
split and composition, and event pattern detection (complex event
processing).
Furthermore, the use of EDA systems continues to evolve and expand. Many
applications today require event-based monitoring capabilities, ranging
from digital data streaming systems, continuous query systems, system
monitoring and management tools, to event-driven workflow engines, to name
a few. There is a wide and growing interest in event processing techniques
both for extending the capabilities and for improving the performance and
ease of use of such EDA systems.
This proposed workshop is to establish a forum that not only brings
together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to look
at various aspects of event-driven processing and its relations to service
oriented computing, functionality, implementation and applications, but
also encourages and provides cross-fertilization between researchers and
practitioners in all types of event processing.
The workshop will contain papers and panel discussions on hot topics in EDA
processing, systems, and applications, including, but are not limited to,
the following topics:
* Event-driven Architectures and relations to service-oriented
architecture.
* Event-driven business process management.
* Event mediations and Enterprise Service Bus.
* Information delivery services and implementation of “publish/subscribe”
protocols.
* Event processing languages and tools.
* Event stream processing.
* Event pattern detection.
* Implementation infrastructure issues.
* User experience, requirements, Use cases, and applications of
event-driven systems.
* Non-Functional requirements: scalability, high-availability, quality of
service.
* Security and privacy issues in event-based systems and applications.
Duration: 1 Day.
