The 2004 IEEE/WIC/ACM International Conference on Intelligent Agent
Technology (IAT'04) will be jointly held with the 2004 IEEE/WIC/ACM
International Conference on Web Intelligence (WI'04
http://www.maebashi-it.org/WI04/). The IEEE/WIC/ACM 2004 joint
conferences are sponsored and organized by IEEE Computer Society
Technical Committee on Computational Intelligence (TCCI)
(http://www.cs.uvm.edu/~xwu/tcci/index.shtml), Web Intelligence
Consortium (WIC) (http://wi-consortium.org), and ACM-SIGART
(http://www.acm.org/sigart/). The upcoming meeting in this conference
series follows the great successes of IAT-99 held in Hong Kong, IAT-01
held in Maebashi City, Japan, and IAT-03 held in Halifax, Canada.
IAT 2004 provides a leading international forum to bring together
researchers and practitioners from diverse fields, such as computer
science, information technology, business, education, human factors,
systems engineering, and robotics, to (1) examine the design
principles and performance characteristics of various approaches in
intelligent agent technology, and (2) increase the cross-fertilization
of ideas on the development of autonomous agents and multi-agent
systems among different domains. By encouraging idea-sharing and
discussions on the underlying logical, cognitive, physical, and
sociological foundations as well as the enabling technologies of
intelligent agents, IAT 2004 will foster the development of
novel paradigms and advanced solutions in agent-based computing.

Dear Dr. Gustaf Neumann:
We are sorry to take a bit of your valuable time, however, we think it
would be very important for you to be informed that we have extended both
the paper submission and the acceptance notification deadlines for SCI
2004. Consequently, we are sending you once again the invitation to
participate in SCI 2004 and the respective Call for Papers, as follows.
On behalf of the SCI 2004 Organizing Committee, I would like to invite you
to participate in the Eighth World Multi-Conference on Systemics,
Cybernetics and Informatics, which will be held in Orlando, Florida, USA,
from July 18-21, 2004.
Therefore, I am sending you the respective Call for Papers. The best 10% of
the papers will be published in SCI Journal
(http://www.iiisci.org/Journal/SCI/Home.asp), the hard copy version of
which will be ready in about one month, and it will be sent to the largest
university libraries.
We are making emphasis on the area of Software Engineering , mainly
Object-Oriented Programming which is related to your specific area.
I would also like you to consider the possibility of organizing an invited
session related to a topic of your research interest. Organizers of the
best invited sessions will be co-editors of the proceedings volume where
their sessions' papers were included and of the CD electronic proceedings.
They will also be candidate for invited editors, or co-editors of a
possible SCI journal issue related to their invited session papers.
You can find information about the suggested steps to organize an invited
session in the Call for Papers and in the conference web page
http://www.iiisci.org/sci2004/ or http://www.iiis.org/sci2004.
If by any reasons you are not able to access the page mentioned above,
please, try the following pages: http://www.iiisci.org/sci2004/ or
http://www.iiis.org/sci2004.
If you are interested in organizing an invited session, please, fill the
respective form provided in the conference web page, and we will send you a
password, so you can include and modify papers in your invited session.
Could you, please, deliver the Call for Papers I am sending you?
If you need a detailed Call for Papers, don't hesitate in asking us for it.
If the deadlines are tight and you need more time, let me know about a
suitable time and I will inform you if it is feasible for us.
Best regards,
Professor Nagib Callaos

CALL FOR PAPERS
Requirements for Robots in Education and Research
International Conference for Engineering Education and Research (iCEER
2004), Bouzov Castle, Czech Republic, June 27-30, 2004.
The popularity of robots in educational scenarios is constantly rising.
They are valuable tools which can be used in many different disciplines
as demonstrators, in lab classes and as platforms for PhD research.
Recently, the topic of educational robotics has been introduced at
conferences and examples and applications have been reported.
To provide suitable platforms for teaching and research, roboticists
need to know the requirements of educators for their specific needs. At
universities these can be quite different to commercial application with
focus, for example, on flexibility, modularity, ease of use, and
financial constraints.
For this session, we would like to invite papers which focus on:
-Examining the requirements of robots in different educational scenarios
-Reporting successful implementations that work well
-Giving directions on how to design appropriate platforms
-Application of robots in various subjects
or related topics.
For more information on iNEER, one of the principal sponsors of the
conference, visit: http://www.ineer.org
